Look behind you.
Unfortunately, it wasn't all laughs. His bungling of the pandemic contributed to the loss of thousands of American lives
Odd that I have never heard you complain about Cuomo and his killing of the seniors, not on your news radar? Talk about killing the economy, if the economy is so important why not talk about Trudeau doing worse than Trump, worse than any of the G-7 actually. The left can fuck up royally and not news worthy but stand back if the right does not do what you like.

Here is a good article about the ongoing efforts to bring justice to the right-wing criminals who attacked the Capitol. It very accurately shows how many of the traitors were inspired by their idiotic devotion to the worst president in American history. It also shows that the carnage could have been much worse. Fortunately the right-wing loonies were so stupid that they screwed up most of their violent attempts. Their stupidity prevented them from carrying through on their worst plans. Not surprising for such a bunch of idiots.

Found this article to be interesting regarding the insurrection:

And this one:

So, TGW, since you apparently don't like people using the word "stupid", how did you like it when Trump constantly ridiculed and insulted anyone who didn't kiss his ass? How about when he referred to political opponents as "low IQ"? How about when he mocked disabled people? Just curious about your opinion. Cheers and BTW, thanks for the two links. It's always good to learn whatever we can about the January 6th violent right-wing attempt at a treasonous insurrection.

It's pretty obvious that I feel it's weak and condescending to refer to someone as stupid and that would apply to all. Try reading the 60 Minute link, I found it to be very interesting. Spoiler alert, the federal prosecutor in charge of the criminal investigation against all of the rioters is a Trump nominee and was at the rally just before the insurrection.
Thanks for the reply TGW and I'm glad to see that you feel Trump was weak and condescending with his constant use of rudeness and personal insults, particularly towards anyone who bruised his overly-sensitive ego by not praising him to the skies. I completely agree with you on that issue.

As for the 60 Minutes article, thanks again, but actually I posted the same article in this very thread 18 minutes before you did. My post with the article is # 304. Again I agree with you: it is indeed a fine updating of info pertinent to this thread on the violent January 6 riot at the Capitol. If you check my post # 304, you will see that it gave a chuckle to our good friend Sol, which pleased me greatly.

Thanks for your input. Best wishes, as always.

No, it's better here.

When I hear about Qanon it's this kind of fist what I think of.

how about we just go and track those conspiracy idiots and then punch them in the face ? what say you ? ;)

Sene for me is a prime example of those mild mannered, peace loving/quiet folks ... but as soon as politics come into play they get sort of ugly and in your face haha .... he has poured in his heart and soul and mind post after post and hasn’t stopped reminding us of how much of a douche bag Donald Trump is ....but not to worry as we all see what we want to see ..... anyways someone already mentioned here that we always have a choice to tune out if we don’t like the political threads,,, but I won’t be lying when I say that I find a lot of the posts ridiculously entertaining at times .......

as far as I’m concerned both parties have used and still use misinformation ... the Trumpists or as one Merb member here calls them the Magastanians do it in an obvious manner , so the difference for me is that the Dems are just better at it ...I never liked DT but I was completely turned off by the constant bombardment from the media with their liberal bias feeding us their BS like an audience of little children ..... so I don’t think that they are any better when they decide to fight evil with evil , it just makes them more hypocritical

To expand the discussion of the Capitol uprising, a question I ask myself, would this insurgency have taken place and also dramatic if Trump had not encouraged these supporters?

In short, No_Church_inThe_Wild, from your comments, you seem to me to be a man who keeps up to date, and understands the issues.

Having said that, you say you never liked DT, but seriously why not understand that the constant media bombardment is shutting down and adhering to the daily and utterly unrealistic comments.

Just think of the history of disinfectant, UV, thousands of lies (without any proof, still inventions to showcase it), and mismanagement of the pandemic.

And yes No_Church_inThe_Wild, as I am retired from the medical field, I can't do otherwise, and no on the contrary I am not a hypocrite, I am a realist.

To admit that Trump was a good President is impossible for me.

Good thoughts.
Thank you

A Capitol rioter from Montana is accused of being at the front of the mob that chased Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman has asked to be released from custody – saying he was “duped” by former President Donald Trump and that he is unable to provide for his daughter and disabled wife.

Jerod Hughes, of East Helena, Montana, was indicted along with his brother Joshua on nine counts last month, including obstruction of an official proceeding, entering a restricted government building and civil disorder.

In court documents, the FBI says Hughes and his brother were among the first 10 rioters to enter the U.S. Capitol Building through a broken window. Once inside, investigators say Hughes and another man kicked a door until the lock broke so that other rioters could enter the Capitol.

While you struggle to get a job with a criminal record, Trump plays golf and laughs at the fools who thought he would follow them to the Capital.

His job as a man was to stay home and take care of and protect his wife and daughter, not storm the capital and become a domestic terrorist.

Trump is a great manipulator, he abuses these poor brainless people, Trump is a great manipulator, he abuses these poor brainless people, Trump is a dumb man.

John Boehner the former republican speaker of the house, a conservative speaks candidly on the Trump insurrection.

“Trump incited that bloody insurrection for nothing more than selfish reasons, perpetuated by the bullshit he’d been shoveling since he lost a fair election the previous November. ... He claimed voter fraud without any evidence, and repeated those claims, taking advantage of the trust placed in him by his supporters and ultimately betraying that trust."

Yup...

Half of Republicans are absolutely clueless about the January 6 Trump riots, many believing that they were left-wingers in disguise rather than actual Trump supporters who did the rioting.

An absolute disaster the level of disinformation is extremely concerning.

The Trumpists usually believe everything he says anyway.

Contrary to the narrative of the mainstream media and the Democrats, the DC chief medical examiner has ruled that Capitol Police officer Sicknick died from 2 strokes and not from any blow to the head. Four other people died the day of the Capitol riot and they were all rioters. Two died from natural causes, one from a drug overdose (meth) and one unarmed female rioter, Ashley Babbitt was gunned down by a Capitol Hill policeman.

Some Capitol Hill policeman and rioters suffered injuries but on the whole, they were not much different from a typical night of rioting in Portland, Seattle, DC, Chicago, New York and elsewhere.

Also, we still don't know the identity of the officer who killed the unarmed Babbitt (why not?), whether he is still on the force, whether he will be charged with a crime or whether Biden and the Democrats will honor him with a medal.

Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick suffered a pair of strokes and ended up dying of natural causes after helping to combat rioters outside Congress in January, but his death was not directly caused by the event, the DC medical examiner told an outlet Monday.

The cop — who had bear spray discharged in his face by protesters during the mayhem — had collapsed after he returned to his office that day and died about eight hours later.

Two men were charged last month with assaulting Sicknick with the spray — and a federal prober and second law-enforcement source told the Associated Press at the time that authorities were looking into whether the 42-year-old cop might have ingested the chemical substance, contributing to his death...

So I guess you're implying that since Officer Sicknick suffered a pair of strokes, that means that the violent, treasonous attack on the Capitol by a bunch of obsessed, deluded rightwing Trump cultists was perfectly okay? Maybe the fact that - due ONLY to their incompetence and stupidity - they failed in their stated objectives to hang the vice president and assassinate the speaker of the house also absolves them of all blame? Or...maybe NOT! Sorry, but I don't think too many people will buy the Koolaid you seem to be trying to sell.

A Trump supporter that was indicted for her involvement in the Capitol riot was forced to issue a letter of apology to a judge after she violated one of the conditions the court put forward upon her release while she awaits trial.
The requirement was that she had to wear a mask when she left her house, and the rioter was shown to have gone out in public wearing a useless mesh mask.
When they show you who they are, believe them, and this person clearly doesn't care about rules or safety or anything other than her own selfish interests.

She’s a Trump supporter, therefore not a reasonable person.

The mask she wore was not only a political statement, but also correctly reflects the state of her brain... full of holes.

She clearly thought she was being very clever there. Another mistake.

Many of the rioters that took part in the January 6th insurrection at the Capitol were absolutely shocked that they were taken away for their involvement.
But extremism experts spoke with MLive.com this week and explained why many of these MAGA folks were so surprised to be arrested and charged, and why they thought that they could get away with posting pictures and videos of the event on social media without any consequences.

Of course they were shocked. No one ever accused them of being smart.

Everytime I see something like this it cracks me up cause those sheep are crying cause their "savior" didn't save them.

Here's an article explaining how dangerous right-wing fake news and lies are. This guy who participated in the violent, treasonous attack on the Capitol now says - quite rightly - that he did so because he was brainwashed by all the fake BS he watched on Fox "News". At least the failed treasonous coup has had one good result: exposing the horrid network of right-wing falsehoods and having some of the crazed rioters finally realize that Trump, Fox and QAnon were lying to them the whole time.

Anthony Antonio, who claimed 'Foxitis' prompted him to rush Capitol, says he believed 'America was being robbed of a president' (msn.com)

What is the fake news in the post #319 ?
Everything that blames Trump is a fake news for his supporters.
