They can not get any other info with just a plate number, even if they were in a position to do so the computer system would know who accessed your info. After going through hard times in the last two years. The criminals seem to be going through hard times as well. They are resorting to blackmail. The drug dealers are killing each other over turf.

Of course but they are just preying on your fears. They don't have the capability or desire to make good on the threat but are calculating that fear leads you to cough up some cash. Internet bullies use similar scams to frighten elderly people into thinking they will lose their home.
But the truth is guys cheating on their wives are often suspected by the wife and she has a private detective engaged and on their tail. I have a good friend who is a PI and he told me a substantial amount of his business is surveillance of cheating husbands. He tells me usually the wife instructs him go get photos proving the infidelity. So many guys who don't know they are busted are in fact already busted and they don't know it. My PI friend did get a death threat once. He was tailing some local mobster whose wife had hired him to do surveillance as she suspected cheating. My buddy got great pics of him fucking some mistress or escort in a motel. Unfortunately the mobster, who was used to being tailed, made my buddy. He stopped his car and told him he was fucking dead as a doornail if he told his wife. My buddy then burned the photos he took, returned the retainer the wife had given him, and told her that her husband had made him and his cover was blown. At the time he used the excuse that he didn't have another car in which to do surveillance other than the made car, which wasn't actually true, but she believed it.
Won't do a thing only the police as access to information about your car plate. People like this like other replies say prey on your fear, but they are usually small time criminals and retard that are scared of their shadow.
Be it Police or an employee of the SAAQ, if they do access the info, it will be on record. Not much chance lowlife scum will have access to government computers.

If you look up the number, it’s probably from a computer - basically spam. They just automate these messages from an overseas server. Quite a lucrative business apparently.
Do you not have burner number apps available? When your number starts showing up in the wrong ways, just burn it and get another!
I texted a few girls yesderday and none of them led to a booking. During the night, I received a text and then a call from a guy saying he's in charge of the escort service houses and that I wasted the time of his girls. He said he paid for the personnal info of me and my family and that I needed to pay or I would have problems. I know it's a scam, but damn I don't feel good about that...
I wonder how many of you's got that text message from Raoul or Cesar Hernandez or even got a text from Mr St-Louis enquêteur de la GRC. Everytime I get those I just love trolling them back. Once I got one of them to go search thru a garbage bin in Montreal for a fake 5000$ (like in those ransom movies) I gotta say this stuff is hilarious. After I'm done trolling them I usually tell them to go F themselves. Actually recently one guy called me and was threatening me over the phone it was a nice act LOL. Maybe we should start a tread and post all the pictures from those conversations, they are quite entertaining

The funniest thing is these peoples send super broken english messages that barely make any sense and expect peoples to take them seriously.
This guy was only writing in French. He has my name cause I sent an E transfer to one girl 8 months ago for a cam session but things didn’t work out so I cancelled it (Rookie mistake I know). Besides that he says he has my address but hasn’t given me any proof that he does. This whole time wasting thing happened 8 months ago and he’s trying to blackmail me now. I feel like I should definitely ignore it but there’s always that anxiousness lol.

In your case having your name may not be "ideal" but at the same time, unless your real name is something like Hermenegilde Rawouidaka or something "exotic" like that, its not like there is much they can do with it. Just using a random name here but how many Robert Dubois and such there is in the province? lol. They would really need to deploy a lot of effort to find you. Just blacklist this number, or even report it to police, especially since you said it was for a cam session. This is really not illegal...
I’m torn between it’s only 200$ maybe just give it to them and maybe they’ll stop or would they really bother going through the trouble of finding me and coming to see me for 200$. They started texting yester At 5pm and I haven’t heard anything since 2:30am so.
