Can you please point out where I said men and females? If you are concerned about proper grammar how is the they/them OK to use for a singular person?

Also this argument always baffles me because there's no way you went an entire life without ever saying "somebody forgot their wallet" for example.

Their wallet is not they, I am old enough to know how to spell.

Chicago Manual of Style (CMS has traditionally recommended avoiding use of singular they. They accept it, however, when referring to a non-binary person.

LOL

I > my
You > yours
He > his
Her > her
We > our

I'm going to hold your hand when I say this :

They > their

So you would say someone forgot they wallet and all would be good. The sentence structure would need to be changed.

Is they singular grammatically correct?
They always goes with a plural verb, even when they is referring to a single person: “They are my friend.” Likewise with other verbs: "They play baseball."

Is "them" a plural of it?
How to Choose between 'It' and 'Them'? If you want to decide which one to use, always stick to one simple rule: 'It' refers to a singular noun, and 'them' refers to a plural noun.

At this point you’re doing it on purpose. Or maybe English isn’t your first language and those are valid questions…

I would say their wallet, which is the possessive form of "they".

Worth noting also that "you" in it's singular form also comes from plural you hence why it uses plural form for the verbs that follow "you".

"It" uses the singular form, like he/she, and mostly refers to objects, situations and animals, so it's pretty easy to differentiate and you're being a little confused now.

Following the OPs initial intention, please use proper grammer or you will hurt my feelings and I will use my boner.

I meant loose, not "use". Oups, silly me, it's "lose", so sorry. Mary Weby we need you. No offense meant ...

Come on guys, start a new thread already for this palpitating english grammar subject.

Yeah, eating crow. Used to seeing someone with breasts that looks like a female ( is it OK to say female ) and say she looks hot or who is she. Had the day to ponder the situation and if the situation comes up I need to change my sentence structure or find out her name and just call her Barb. If it's third person she would never know I miss labeled her. Enjoy the day :)
