Hello US,

Pretty sure there was no bonus. Your character staying alive is already a good bonus!
Also, someone else's body was used for that scene. But that scene shocked me and it lasted for a long time; they showed it from start to finish:eek:

Not her body? I wasn't thinking that during the scene. I hadn't considered it. I just checked it out and the person with the real body looks much younger. But yes, it was astonishing.

I am also unhappy about the fate of that same person, it didn't have to end like that...

Other people I discussed this with are also very unhappy. Reading some articles it looks like fans are generally unhappy and some fear the series has made a huge error that will shorten it's life span. For myself I was hoping the character would redeem and revenge the family name. The character seemed like the only incorruptible left. I really hate this loss. I agree with those, many who think the writers screwed up BIG!

Nice to see one character finally regain some heart and some courage. The jump did not look survivable though.

Cheers,

Merlot

still I'm very unhappy about the fate of one person.

Same here but I didn't find it as shocking as the others, at this point you expect things like this to happen. I have been reading a lot of rumours that that character will be resurrected somehow.

I think they're ok, sure the snow broke their fall, would be crazy to kill off more characters.

Arya's scene had to me my favourite scene of the episode though, very satisfying

Hello JB

I have been reading a lot of rumours that that character will be resurrected somehow.

They made a big show of him bleeding out. I'd love to see him back, but it feels so cheap when there's some nonsensical resurrection that spoils the character for me.

I think they're ok, sure the snow broke their fall, would be crazy to kill off more characters.

They can't kill both of them at once after killing two key thread leaders in one show.

Arya's scene had to me my favourite scene of the episode though, very satisfying

This thread story has been strange from the start. I really don't know what to make of her. Now another strange turn within a thread that doesn't seem to be going anywhere useful.

The fate of Daenerys Targaryan is the most interesting thread left now that it involves Tyrion along with the unsullied, the dragons, and now the nomadic horde.

Of course Cersei will hold our interest but she seems too predictable.

I smell a coup and war for the Dorne.

Cheers,

Merlot

True Detective

One of my favorite mini-series last season has its premiere episode (season two) tonight. True Detective. The first season (starring Mathew Mac and Woody H) was fabulous! Season two will star Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams and Vince Vaughn.

For those who've never seen season one, you don't need to have seen it to enjoy season two since it's an entirely new story with an entirely different cast.

Watch him return as a white walker. The leader of the white walkers is reported to be one of the first Lord Commanders of the Night Watch. Wouldn't be surprised to see him recruit him to join his 'troops'.

Hello all,

"Tyrant" has been pretty good but I haven't gotten into as much as some others. Right now I've got "Game of Thrones" withdrawals. This 10 episode crap is killing me. Way back when I think you got 26 episodes a year for tv shows. I can understand why it's less now but 10 is hard to deal with.

I need some.......https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cUELYuzRGc I never expected them all to be so young.

Still PISSED OFF about losing John Snow.

Hell on Wheels on Netflix.
I can`t get enough of a very pretty Irish actress who plays Lily in this action packed series with tons of plot twists.

Great series! But it's sure taking a long time for the next season to come out! Miss Lily was indeed extremely pretty.

I'm finding season 2 of True Detective sort of disappointing though...

Same here. Extremely disappointing. Every Sunday night, i tune it expecting it to pick up, only to be further disappointed again. From what i've been reading (EW), Vince Vaughn has been miscast in that role. The other three main actors are doing a fine job, though. I wasn't sure about Rachel McAdams playing that type of role at first, but she's won me out in the past few episodes. Same with Colin Farrel and Taylor Kitsch.

I was kind of hoping of a similar format to the first season, which in my opinion was brilliant. Of course, season one had to magnificient actors in Mathew Mac and Woddie Harrelson. But the storyline was different. Dark of course, but believable and well told. The second season, on the other hand, seems more like a season of Twin Peaks and if i didn't know better, i'd think David Lynch directed the episodes. I find it so terribly confusing. Once i've watched an episode, i have to go online to figure out what exactly happened.

I also hate every scene involving Vince Vaughn. He's boring. This surprises me since i was looking forward to seeing him in that season when i found out about the cast. Farrell and McAdams were a surprise, but so far they're the only characters worth watching. I'm uncomfortable watching the scenes involving Taylor Kitsch, but so be it.

Who knows, maybe the final episodes will save the season. But to be honest, i'm not holding my breath. What a total disappointment!!

I saw an article recently called something like "Season 2 of True Detective is halfway over and we still don't know what it's about." That's sort of how I feel as well, as if the plot has yet to actually get going. The first season was an amazing accomplishment of Southern Gothic and the writing felt cohesive and gripping while season two seems to ramble on without a lot of direction. I see your Twin Peaks observation as well but I feel like this would work if they turned up the surreal element a bit more.

I really love Rachel McAdam's and Collin Farrell's characters too. I have to admit though, I only started caring about Kitsch's character when his story line took that turn (you know what I'm talking about ;) ).

I don't know how I feel about this new format that True Detective and American Horror Story have going on. I feel like it's a really interesting and inspired idea, but they both seem to have trouble maintaining their momentum after some really great starts. I dropped AHS after the first season and have yet to go back to it.
