There are very few TV programs I watch these days. They do not make programs like NYPD blues anymore. I suspect that they have all went away and later the trend will go back to the cop shows eventualy. The only program that I watch regularly now is Shark Tank, just to see Kevin O'Leary be cruel to people that want to be just like him and have no money.
I don't know about wayyyyyyyyy better, but it is muuuuch better.

Secret Diary of a Callgirl..third series is on the way end of 2009
Special mention to Battlestar Galactica which ended this past season. One of the best science fiction shows ever broadcast, it ranks right up there with the first 4 seasons of Babylon 5. They ended it at the right time before it ran out of gas like Babylon did in it's 5th season.
I got bored with Lost and haven't started with Fringe yet but I have the first season so I'll get around to watching it sooner or later. Was a big 24 fan for the first few seasons but didn't watch the last one. Probably will eventually.
Guilty pleasures:
So You Think You Can Dance...US and Canadian versions
Dancing With the Stars.
What can I say? I love watching hot women dancing in very little clothing.

I concord! I love to watch this dance show because some gals are very hot. I'm not too crazy however about Shane Parks' America's Best dance Crew. Strictly Hip Hop dances and the girls look like tomboys....beurk!!!! B-girls are far from being sexy.
Law & Order (1st - original, 2nd - SVU, 3rd - CI) - if the case is interesting, and/or to see the smoking hot NY ADA's like Michaela McManus or Stephanie March on SVU

I am surprised no one else mentioned this one. My roomate turned me on to this show when I mentioned that my mom was hooked on Intervention and that there was something about the show that rubs me the wrong way.
Based on true stories. A wonderful blend of reality and entertainment. The show regularly makes me cry, laugh and think; there is even an educational side. What more can I ask for?

PS, Thanks for starting this list. All the TV I watch is downloaded onto my computer; or the seasons are rented from the video store. No commercials this way but no channel surfing either.
