Ha ha, thanks ! That was the good Ol'days...
According to me, The game on ad sites started to get worst than ever about a year or 2 before Covid actually.
I changed too, but I still scan the ads (on humchies mostly, AI for is flooded by Scammer now) and I rarely see propects in my taste (Gfe, Spinners).
And prices have increased a lot, so it costs more to get scammed. (Also, GFE is rarely offered or is extra...)
Since before it was already frustrating when we got scammed or B&S while toftting @ 120/30min, then now @ 180/200/30min, it's enough, at least for me, to change strategy.
In my case, I hobby a lot less and stick to a couple of regulars.

But I would say today, the times are favorable more than ever to Reputable Agencies and Indies.

I guess Onlyfans and Seeking Arrangements have contributed a lot to this...

I'll second the sentiment, the loss of Craigslist adult ads, the closure of Backpages and the witchunt on sex workers from Christian orgs pretending to care about sex trafficking really put a nail in the coffin of the good ole days. If you add to that the rise of dating apps & seeking argmt and gentrification of many of the older neighborhoods it's the death knell of the old ways.

With everything concentrated on 3 or 4 main sites (Hump, Leo, AI & A123) it creates a weird doppler effect, everyone mimics what's being done, I mean no offense by the next statement but it's laughable when you see a porn movie type girl or stripper type asking for a certain rate and then the next ad is a kind of scary matante or an ad with a bunch of sketch photos and they are asking the same rate as the spinner/stripper...does not compute! Also I've noticed the rise of the never-ending menu & rates, I responded to an ad the other day and got back a list of prices and services and I could not make heads or tails of the whole thing.

Someone like myself who never much liked agencies to begin with, it's been kind of rough, there's the thrill of the hunt which is one aspect but personally the best mileage comes with regular visits, with rising prices even if I was to reduce my sessions and go for a higher end agencies or Indies, the idea of putting all my eggs in one basket and banking on having a great time on my one monthly (or whenever) visit to an SP is risky, as I get older I am not as carefree/careless as I once was.

Lastly to me there's the absence of a set of certain providers, those who knew good repeat clients were the key, that made sure you left drained & breathless only to return soon after, they didn't always have to be spinners, they just exuded sex or knew how to take care of you. At this point in my semi hobbying state I find myself using a cocktail of solutions in order to keep myself sane, a small rotation of good MP's for relaxation and oil change, one solid regular seeking type arrangement to keep the motor running and a dwindling list of SP's in the glove compartment should you need to call for a tow, the problem is every time I pull that list out, more and more are out of business.
