It does not, 99% of agencies don't screen and let's be honest, it takes a lot less time for a deranged client to beat up someone than it does for a provider to wait for a security guy to come up to the appartment, and that's *if* we can even access our phone long enough to call for help if something happens. "Protection" is just an illusion.
Agencies do not provide security by careful screening or by having a driver/security guy standing by. The greater security is by providing a record of and witnesses for the encounter. By "witnesses" I obviously don't mean anyone who sees or watches the client. Instead, here's an example of how an agency provides security to a girl:
After Suzy the escort is booked for an encounter and then assaulted during the encounter, Joe the booker and Steve the driver can provide testimony to
prove that Suzy the escort was definitely booked in room 401 of the Birks Hotel at 4PM Monday and she was dropped off there at 3:55 PM. Furthermore she called Joe at 4:01PM to say that she arrived and that everything was OK (or not). The first step in investigating a crime is to determine whether a crime occurred, where and when it occurred and who the victim is. With an agency, it's not just Suzy telling her story to the police or to her friends. It's Suzy with Joe and Steve to back up her story.
Contrast that scenario with an indy's routine. The only proof she has that her assault took place in a certain place at a certain time is some records of phone calls. If a thug wants to assault an escort, he is much safer picking an indy as a client. The routine of booking an agency girl exposes him to much less risk of getting charged with a crime.
Thugs are not that smart but they are also not dumb. They know what the odds of getting caught are in different situations and in the case of an agency girl, they know that there is a trail of incriminating evidence if they assault an agency girl. That is how agency girls have more security than indy girls.
Admittedly, some indies may do what they can to mimic the agency model of creating "witnesses" to an encounter, but I doubt that most do.
All this is important because the belief that "women don't lie" has been proven to be...a lie.
I am surprised that I need to explain this to anyone, especially to an escort.
