Around the corner
I remember that team and that series very well.
They not only had Lafleur, but Shutt, Lemaire, Cournoyer and Houle Who could all put the puck in the net.
Apart from that they probably had the best defence behind Dryden, Robinson, Savard, Lapoint, where three of the best you could hope for add Bouchard for extra muscle and nobody could push these 4 around.
Then you had your grinders like Gainey, Lambert, Risebrough. Trembllay.
A very well balanced team behind a great goaltender Dryden.
It was still fun to watch the Habs back then.

Today they put their hopes on Drouin and Domi, give me a break.
One never shows up and the other can’t control himself and keeps taking the stupidest penalties.

They'll never ice a good succesful hockey team while they're busy playing language politics. Whose turn is it in the french speaking 3-coach revolving door? Therrien again?

They'll never have success while Molson Is significantly more concerned with making money than having a good hockey team. Hockey ought to be at least a minor interest of the fellow who owns the team, no?

Imagine if every soccer team in every country in europe only hired a coach who can communicate in their countries offical language. Time to scrap the old-fashioned attitude that french people would rather have a french coach than a winning team. I guarantee that a stanley cup soothes the 'pain' of having to listen to 3 minutes of english in a post-game interview.

Another good move....l'acquisition de TIFFOLI :) ----qui a signé pour 4 ans--est un +.......avec aussi l'arrivée de ANDERSON.....cela va apporter plus de profondeur à l'équipe.

I love the moves that the habs have made so far this season. I've always liked Josh Anderson. But the habs are once again without a true #1 center, which has been the problem for years.

Anyways i'm not even sure we'll have a season. I'm hearing maybe february but who knows. So that's why i'm not as into the upcoming season as in past years. If there is a season it'll be a short one and i'm not sure how it'll work out since i figure the US-Canada border will still be closed until at least spring. Will there be an American conference and a Canadian conference where Canadian teams will only play Canadian teams and the same thing for the US teams? And then another 'bubble' tournament for the playoffs?

COREY PERRY with the HABS for one year....not sure about that one.....nous avons déjà eu des joueurs du genre VANEK---KOVY sans grand succès...

I like the Perry signing a lot. He's not the goal-scorer he was so I don't expect a lot of goals out of him. But he's a nasty SOB that brings a lot of experience.

I guess you guys did not stay up for the game but the Habs held McDavid and Draisatl pointless and a combined -2 on the evening.....that does not happen too often. You have to like Montreal's start, just a tough loss to the Leafs in 3 games.

Yep...a perfect game...they were dominant again....ALLEN did very well and we saw the best of WEBER and i like young ROMANOV.....les unités spéciales en infériorité numérique ont fait un travail remarquable....that's the way to go. :)
Next rvous...CANUCKS for 3 games.

Bon match, j'étais confiant après les 2 période, je me suis couché !!

Oui Allen m'a surpris, je l'aurais fait attendre contre Vancouver pour débuter et bel apport offensifs des défenseurs !!
