PRICE....wow....since season 2019-2020...he allowed 5 goals and more 11 times....by far the worst in NHL.....for 10.5 millions/year....incredible.
Seems Montreal has 5G in nets, when the whole world is getting exited about 5G coming recently, Montreal has been using
5G for the past decade.

Also I rather have any journeymen, any backup or anything else with respectable numbers then Price, maybe the most average
(if not below) and most overrated goalie in NHL history with that stupid ridiculous contract (What was Bergevin thinking) ???

Also Jake Allen should be the goalie for the rest of the season (So that DD won't be fired by next season, if he keep playing Price that is).
If Price is the No 1 goalie for the next 5 years, I see another 2 to 3 coaches getting fired.

Also we need a coach to pull up a "Jaques Martin" and find the "Next Halak", on that note ( I was in the keep Halak camp) and imagine
if we had kept Halak, maybe Jaques Martin would still be the Montreal coach And yet all the other coaches come to Montreal, play that
disaster Price (Because they have to , 10M ) and come their demise.

Just to clarify if he is a starting NHL goalie why was he traded for a 3rd round pick and why did he sign a 2 year contract to be a backup goalie while being paid backup goalie money?
I don’t think you clarify anything, it’s cristal clear right now that Jake Allen is a high quality top tier backup and he has never been a journeyman backup ever. And while Carey can’t stop a volleyball between the pipes, I hope they use Allen more often. He gives the team a better chance to win at the moment.

I don't think there is any dispute that Allen has greatly outperformed Price so far this year. Price should be the very expensive backup and Allen the starter. But once you set that arrangement you establish Price as the highest paid backup goalie in NHL history. To get $10.5 million annual salary for backup goaltending services is remarkable. Price's agent has got to be agent of the 21st Century.

He benifited a lot from the hype created and continiously fed by the incestuous Montréal's sports medias. The overrating and over-exposure of Price before his big contract was mostly due to the fact that there was not much else to talk about concerning the habs poor line-ups

a day after I posted some mumbo jumbo here about the Canadiens coaching staff they ended up getting fired ... they also bounced back tonight after your “guy living in a van down by the river inspirational speech “ ... coincidence? I think not ... I’m starting to suspect that Bergevin and other members of the Habs organization might be Merb members ... anyways like the spirit of your post above and let’s hope they end up righting the ship ...

If this is true who among us would be Bergevin? My guess would be Gaby except he has been critical of Bergevin in his posts. Although that could be a ruse.........when he mentioned that Julien said "where is my McDavid?"" as a shot to Bergevin, perhaps, the reality is that Gaby aka Bergevin is still seething with anger at this thinly veiled shot........

ok that was fun but lets get back to this thread it wasnt easy but we finally won one the structure was there and we played an all around good game but a lot of players are in a i cant score a goal anymore mode and a few guys are going to have to unblock if were going to keep this going Tatar Drouin Danault top 6 players and i dont know if they have 5 goals all together we need more from them if we want this team to get back on track

Speaking of Drouin, I noticed that the guy he was traded for, Sergachev, who is a defenseman, has more points as a defenseman (15) than Drouin does as a left wing (13), while playing 1 less game than Drouin. Should a defenseman have more points than the left wing he was traded for?

Drouin stats:
Sergachev stats:

There is no way Montreal loses 4 straight to Ottawa. Ottawa is not that good a team, even though they have been red hot, and Montreal is not that bad. So I believe the Habs will win tonight.
Right on....3-1....not the game of the week ;) ...BUT the most important 2 precious points.....kudos à nos unités spéciales :)......JETS in town Thursday....that's another story.

OUPS...Stéphane Waite fired late yesterday night....not an easy decision for BERGEVIN...they worked together with Black Hawks....and in Montréal since 2013....WAITE a été associé au succès de PRICE mais depuis beaucoup d'eau a coulé sous les ponts;).
Not easy for STÉPHANE in the last years et encore moins cette année.....not an easy situation to deal with.....good decision....un changement d'air va être salutaire.....SEAN BURKE prend la relève.....and i hope with a good psychologist....lollll.

another proof of what i said earlier on this thread we cant compete 3 on 3 we lack puck control maybe its time to give the kid a chance Romanov makes good passes and is a heads up player and with all the room on the ice who knows yes he probably will make some mistakes but it cant get any worse were batting 0 in overtime and its starting to make me sick when we get there

The habs seem to have a knack of putting the wrong players for the 3 on 3 overtime. You need to put your fastest players on the ice and at the most one defenceman. Sure the Jets have more talent but that's exactly why the habs should go for broke every time and put your fastest players there since the current formula isn't working.

Sure one point is good but they'll need more of than just one point a game if they don't want to miss the playoffs. On another subject former goaltending coach Stephane Waite will be interviewed on Jean-Charles Lajoie's show (JiC) tonight on TVA Sports. Chantal Macabee stated this morning that she had spoken with Waite and when he was told after the 2nd period by Bergevin that he had just been fired he at first thought it was a joke but Bergevin got more serious and swore he wasn't joking and that he had no choice since he was under great pressure from the top to do something. So for once Bergevin seems to be worried about getting fired by Geoff Molson. What a drama!
