You can count me in. It's always a great time when we have a GT. HDLM is always the usual place, I know some people don't like it but the last few times we had great turnouts. We've never had any problems with anyone there who wasn't from the boards. Sure some people seemed curious at one GT but that was only because they had a large table right in the middle of our group and then one of the girls decided to sit with them and tell them all about what the party was about. Even then they seemed more interested and amused than bothered.
The one that Porter organized at Sharks seemed to go over well from what I read, I couldn't make it down myself because I had to work. But that required someone to organize it and put out some money to reserve the room I think. Even if someone's willing to advance the money to reserve, it'd probably be hard to reserve in December considering Xmas parties and everything.
Either the 5th or 12th sounds good. Saturdays are usually the best for most people to make it down. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know. The last one turned out to be really fun and it was a spur of the moment thing so I figure that with the extra lead time this one has a chance of being really great.
So anyone who's interested in coming should post in this thread and let's see how it goes!

Oh yea, that was pretty funny, I didn't even get a number out of those drunk girls either. Lol. Don't think we'll see that shit bag coming back into that bar though.
I've honestly been very curious about these GT's.. but like many, I've been a bit too shy/embarrassed. I was curious, has anyone actually met someone they knew in "the real world" at one of these events? I think these GT's are much easier for visitors to Montreal than natives. Thoughts on the matter?
I think I will also join the GT this time. I would be able to make it on a Saturday. But forgive my ignorance what does "HDLM" stand for
Ahh disregard this. I found the answer to my question. It is for Hotel De La Montagne. Where in the Hotel would it normally be? I just walk into the Hotel and is it in a room or something? I have never been to this hotel so I have no idea.
It's pretty hard to miss us. Just walk in the main door and walk straight ahead. You'll see a large area with tables and a piano that extends to the bar and lounge areas, you'll find us gathered around the piano and seated in that general area. I usually keep an eye on the door to see if any familiar faces are coming in and if I see you I'll be sure to call you over to where we are and introduce you around. I hope you make it down!
