Oh and if we put you in charge all the hostages would be rescued and nobody killed. It's that simple right? The hostages are hidden in caves and tunnels below highly concentrated civilian populations. Good luck.

War is an ugly business, and it is common knowledge that often innocents (by the way not every civilian is innocent) pay the ultimate price. Thus, one should think twice before starting the war. Hamas and Hezbollah started war on October 7th and 8th of the last year. Now you see the consequences. Proportional response in the war is an oxymoron. Wars are won by applying superior force to destroy or at least incur some intolerable pain to the enemy to force it to surrender or accept disadvantaged solution. For too long Israel was denied of harvesting benefits of its war victories. This made the situation worse and intolerable. In this region only fear of disproportionately harsh response is the deterrent.

Why do you keep talking about a 2 State Solution as if the Palestinians would accept it? Hamas' entire playbook is a 1 state solution, meaning Palestine and total destruction of Israel. How can anyone reasonably expect anyone to defend such a playbook with anything other than destruction of Hamas?

You point to Hamas because it suits your conclusion in disregarding the 2 states solution that was agreed on by all parties (except Hamas). Again, the short memory syndrome. The west bank government has nothing to do with Hamas, in fact they are completely opposed to them. Yet settlements numbers grew in the west bank. The map proposed includes the west bank. If Israel was serious about the 2 states solution that it agreed on, then they would have weakened Hamas legitimacy and appeal. This idea that everyone wants to destroy Israel is a fallacy, so instead of accusing others, check your information. There are calls for that by some radicalized movements, created because of Israel's aggressivity and lack of peaceful intentions, which has become very clear. Even debating them is a waste of time, as the leaders are expressing them plainly, which is in turn radicalizing more and more people. Israel has no intentions for peace. All it has proven is that it uses periods of calm to increase its hold onto the land. Everything they have done over the years is designed to take over the rest. Its claims of self defense are void and pure lies, as you cannot be the aggressor and claim self-defense. Their propaganda machines take facts and twist them so that they appear to be victims. Why is the Holocaust always mentioned in this conflict? Are the Palestinians guilty of it? Of course not, but it is to draw sympathy so that their crimes are tolerated. This is one example of how history and facts are twisted to provide legitimacy to the crimes they are committing.
Jews are not guilty of these crimes. Netanyahu and his band of gangsters do not represent Jews. They are a bunch of radical, fanatical, power hungry, money driven, expansionist colonialists. They used Judaism as the vehicle to mobilize people and draw world sympathy because of past sufferance. Lots of important and well-known Jews are coming forward and condemning the current massacres.
Absolutely wrong. Any other Israeli government will do the same, left or right. Just ask former Prime Minister Bennet (just before Netanyahu). The sons and daughters of high government officials and IDF commanders are volunteering or conscripted to the army and dying like everybody else. There are plenty of examples. There is no exception for military service except for ultra-religious, but this is changing too. As for the two-state solution, Palestinians demonstrated that they do not want it and are not ready for it. Now Israelis are also disillusioned with it even on the extreme left.
USA is telling ISRAEL has to stop killing the Gaza civilians in 30 days.
They finally got tired of the massacre of more than 40 thousands of Palestinians.
They could reduce or cut their miltary aid to Netanayu.
