Did you manage to collect evidence or to solve a case while walking those steps? @DetectiveDavidMillsMy FitBit recorded 19240 steps for the day so far.
The calm before the tempest! I mean in the good way not worst lolWith the STM strike + the snow? This week will be calmer than calm.
FYI they are planning a whole month strike. However city's new mayor wants to cut it down to half a monthGood thing i checked this thread last week since i had planned to spend part of this week in Mtl but discovering that the STM was currently on strike i decided to cancel my trip since i use it a lot whenever i’m in the city whether i’m driving or flying there. So thanks for the heads-up or else i would have wasted time & money on a likely very disappointing trip!![]()
I’m surprised they are not considered ‘essential workers’ and still allowed to strike. A transit strike must be chaos on a city the size of Montreal. And it must end up costing the city a fortune all things considered. When will the new mayor be sworn in?FYI they are planning a whole month strike. I think a whole November nut is more appropriate to address the topic thoughOn the plus side, No Nut November will never have been easier!
…who am I kidding: I still jerk off on a daily basis!
Well actually they still provide service during peak hours. But in between there is nothing.I’m surprised they are not considered ‘essential workers’ and still allowed to strike. And this weekend there will be zero service, a full shutdown for the whole weekend. It will be chaos.Well actually they still provide service during peak hours. But in between there is nothing.
I don’t know if the workers realize this but one day in the not-too-distant future their jobs will be replaced with A.I. and the more they hurt their employer with strikes the quicker we’ll see it happen. With cars now being self-driven in states like California it’s only a time where we see the same thing happen in transits. And this weekend there will be zero service, a full shutdown for the whole weekend. I was talking about it yesterday, it's already the case with the REM, no staff on board, not even a driver.I don’t know if the workers realize this but one day in the not-too-distant future their jobs will be replaced with A.I. and the more they hurt their employer with strikes the quicker we’ll see it happen. Unions are very bad. They cost the company and economy a lot of money. Eventually being fully automated will resolve these problems once and for all.I was talking about it yesterday, it's already the case with the REM, no staff on board, not even a driver.
And this weekend there will be zero service, a full shutdown for the whole weekend. Yes and the drivers want no service at all. Nov 1 there was no service and I saw some fast food joints that were closed. True for needing maintenance workers. The thing is drivers are doing a strike this weekend, but the whole month strike is from the maintenance workers. If we are creating more automated machines, they will always need maintenance.
This should have been done a long time ago. They did not learn from the 70s month long STM strike that caused traffic chaos.C’est la goutte qui fait déborder le vase!
