Bored at work... was avoiding this thread... but here it goes...
I think decoupling all the "why" from a question makes it difficult to answer something... Why (cost), why an indy, why a high end SP... and why you call that SP vs that other one. You try to answer any of those in issolation and it makes it very difficult. Take away all the obvious answers that do not matter... (can't afford it, only see high end because I think they are better looking/safer, only like porn experience etc)... and you will end up with non subjective answers. (you can't argue with, a high end SP is better looking... because they are better looking and dressed TO YOU... or you just like PSE...so there is no debate to that answer).
Some will see high end SPs because they think its' a special thing to do on their b-days. Some might have an idea of a classy lady. The question should really be what is a "high end" SP. I'm far from 50... (way far...). Not loaded, not rich. Not a CEO, not self made. I fit within Charlotte's definition of "straight forward situation rather than a messy affair". But could afford a high end SP. Now, the definition seems to be that a high end SP is basically a more expensive encounter. I love the fact high end indy SPs don't like 1h encounters. You want a high end encounter - go spend several hours with someone. Chat, because the amount of conversation, sensuality and chemistry for a 1h encounter will not help your precomceptions of "high end". I'm sure Kelly Summers will knock your socks off in an hour or two... and I'm sure that was worth it... but I guess that is the question; is that high end or better of the same? Stephanie and Kelly are very different people...
So what is high end? better educated? better dressed? travelled? better lookign? someone who does not need to work every night? or is it just the fact they are indy and they are priced out your range? I was looking for something specific. Something well defined in my mind. Not just plain sex.. if you are just looking to get off - then... well... why look for something that specific? I think that is where the "high end" SP comes in. Someone well outside of an acronym based activity. Some one who you feel brings something to the table that just "wows" you... could be some one who can walk with you to a restaurant and hold a great conversation as well as your attention. But that takes time... 2 hours is not going to cut it... I think "high end" is not better in bed because they are better - but because they used their... their... well... their wit. They used their wit to seduced you in a way that made the whole thing even more memorable.
I'm assuming its the same with the SPs... they don't just want some schmuck with money who are less than a gentelmen (dirty/badly behaved)... otherwise its hard to connect and make them feel like they are the only one they care about. I would love to hear Charlotte's view on the screening process. From what I hear - it start by the way you (men) communicating properly (be polite and know how to write gents). A quick google to find out who they are - perhaps a quick check at the hotel "hello? would like to speak with Mr Janus at 2202... click..". Quick check with linkedin... etc... Indys also do have a friend who knows where they are. There are a lot of creeps out there.
But... to the bottom of this question (for me)... I was looking for that very specific thing... eloquence - in all aspects... I have had the most boring, dreadful, un-interesting dates (but one) with what we would call high end SPs. Education can't be bought - it is adquared. Travel a couple of times to Paris or Mexico in march break does not mean travelled. A high end SP is not better suited in the art of the bed than some one who is working for less. Since I'm not doing this to just get off... the high end part was not working out...
What is a high end SP? What does that mean? (to me) It is someone who can "wow" you... I was looking for a high end SP... In fact all I did was the so call "high end" SP... As it worked out - there are people who just "wows" you... the high end part, had nothing to do with the cost. Just the company. (true story
