Le Meridien Versailles
I recently stayed at Le Meridien Versailles (Sherbrooke & St. Mathieu), in a room on an Executive Floor (elevator key access required for the 3 Executive Floors). I was not impressed. The building is old and there are only 2 elevators (only 14 floors though). The room was small, with a modern but tiny bathroom. The decor was brown and depressing, and the heating system was loud. The bed was okay.
The restaurant Bronte is attached to the hotel, so I checked out the dinner menu. Exactly the kind of stuff I like (French), but I was not in the mood to pay those prices, so I passed. I did have breakfast there the next morning as it was included in the Starwood cash plus points scheme I used to stay there. It was continental breakfast (American was a $4 charge), and was quite nice, with smoked salmon and sliced deli meats in addition to the usual continental fare.
