Came across an interesting article on a website that provides info on how to spot a Gold Digger.
I found it to be quite amusing and realistic at he same time.
Apparently according to one commentator there are male gold diggers . . . rrrriiiiiiiggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttttttttttttttttttttt.
Although the comments are good the one that stands out is the one from "the optimist"

The link is pretty accurate. There is a specific class of women who are not very accomplished, come from well enough off families who give them enough money to live somewhat comfortably on along with their regular low paying job, who are looking to being independent of their family by being a girlfriend to or marrying a guy who can support their expensive lifestyle. I have dated a few, and known a few others who I am glad I did not date (after my experiences of the first gold diggers).

i dug into this website a bit and it seems the guys there typically believe that 99.9% of all women are gold-diggers. IF true, maybe it's biological. though i know many women who don't seem to be gold-diggers. maybe we can make a distinction between some type of benign biological inclination women have to extract resources from a man... for the good of their family, and others who are mere parasites and would take, take, take endlessly, wouldn't blink an eye to see her prey totally ruined. Cause sorry I can't take such a dim view of women generally, though I may be very naïve.

It's very simple. If a woman has expensive taste in her lifestyle, she has a few options.

She can attain a good paying career.
She can marry a man with a good paying career.
She can come from a wealthy family which gives her the lifestyle she is used to having.

The third option is based on her circumstances and she has no control over it.
The second option is based on ability to find such a man.
The first option is the only option that she can do on her own.

Now if a woman is happy with a modest lifestyle, then whether a man has a lot of money is not a big deal. But I think all women want at least a modest lifestyle with some ammenities. Women have the opportunities to support themselves, where a few generations ago, this was less accessible.

Very true. I couldn't agree with you more Guido. That's the hypocracy of countries, like the USA, that criminalize the buying and selling of sex among consulting adults. Marriage is the ultimate form of prostitution -- if the bread-winner does not put food on the table, he/she will get no sex from the spouse. Same thing with BF's and GF's.

In today's world, women can make more money than men. There are as many females if not more graduating medical schools and law schools. I don't think the traditional male dominated world exists as much as it did 30 to 40 years ago. But it is true that there are gold diggers out there. But I have heard that women are programmed to choose their mates based on how well they will provide for her and her offspring. It is the same way in the animal kingdom. You cannot expect women to throw aside this natural instinct.

This is where the issue at hand arises, and as awkward it may sound it comes down to what we refer to in society as the America Dream. There are people in society that believe having a home, a business etc . . . (insert your dream here) is the American Dream. IMHO the American Dream is to not have to depend on other people. Agree. Take the advice women are a lot like boats, it`s usually cheaper to rent than to have them, no matter what. Even the ``sugar daddy`` routine is more costly. Fortunately my last, Michele formerly of French companions, lasted only briefly as she wasn`t a very good liar.

Daydramer41 -- I couldn't have said any better. You are absolutely right. I've dated medical doctors and lawyers who not only make more money than I do but way more intelligent than I will ever be. Women too are afraid of god-digging men. Hell, my sister makes way more money than her husband. I lived in NY and know that many women who work in professional jobs in Manhattan make more money than tons of men elsewhere.

But, it's always better to rent GFE SP's as there are no strings attached and way much cheaper, except for the airfares and hotel rooms.
