I am done reading Journal de Montreal i just can't take this anymore

I was talking on reddit R/montreal and posted my concern, i got down voted buy woke morons, telling me to stop spreading fear mongering. They are now posting about a gang that as been hanging out at Parc Jarry and scaring people, sitting beside them etc, mainly women. Again what is the police doing about this, guess what.

The last straw was when i read this morning that the guy who got stabbed to death 2 days ago Lacordaire charle Roi (i used to drive there to go to work) killed is father in 2009 stabbed him 19 times but due to him being mentally ill they did not put him in jail, its beyond me how they can let people walk around freely after comitting murder and very well knowing they are dangerous.

I wrote an email to the journalist that wrote the article, he replied that he is bafled as well and does not understand the justice system in Quebec.

I guess its best for me to stop reading JDM it will be better for my health. I live in a calm neighborhood and i avoid going out in Montreal best as i can, but this is getting ridiculous

It was not an insult but an objective comment on your post. Not everyone is suited for city life. One of my best friends hated NYC and eventually moved to a quiet house in a rural area.

5. Canada is a great country with great democratic values, but we are a pee-wee on the intermational stage. We need to get our population to 100 million fast, so we dont get pushed around by the US, China and India. With more clout we can better promote our values on the international level
6. I like an ethnically diverse community for the colorfulness it gives our society. I love the exotic foods...and oh yeah I love the exotic women lol

In some way i would agree with you, when ever i get a delivery either from amazon, metro grocery store, walmart (when i used to order there ) or pizza delivery its always an immigrant, and to top it all off they are nice people too very polit, those job most people here won't do them.

I am all for positive, and we should not put all imigrant in the same basket at work i have a few imigrant, some are amazing people others are plein racist idiots that always cry and whine about the treatment they received. They play the racist card really well when they are the ones who are really racist and tell everyone how intelligent they are when they keep fucking up there job with full of mistakes.

I guess its the after COVID effect that we suffered for all those price increase, and renting etc, but like i said my regular SP (who sadly is retired now) went to TAL with 2 other people in her building when the landlord tried to fuck them over with huge increase to rent. They won.

Its just sad that someone who needs to rent will pay a sick amount, a women at work got separated and she rented a deluxe condo near Repentigny she pays 2200$ per month that is insane, not buying she is renting.

All in all if immigration can make Montreal stronger it might be good but they need to find ways to lower this crime rate, as i said everyday someone gets shot stabbed, feminicide women gets murdered by her ex boyfriend, etc... they need to put a stop to this.

It is getting bad here but nothing close to large US cities.

The only time I go into Montreal is when I see my favourite ladies and the occasional hockey or soccer game otherwise I can get everything Montreal has within a 5-10 minute walk from my place. Same stores and many good restaurants and you can walk around at night without any problem.

If you want to help, you can invite them in your home. Help is when it is done voluntarily, not by force like taxing people then giving them social benefits for political and personal gain. Canada used to be a nation built on immigration but not anymore, the immigrants are being used as commodity for politicians and corporations to make more money. Look around you, wealth is getting concentrated to the politicians and corporations while the rest is getting power. The middle class is now the new hidden poor because most of their income is being tied to housing. Canada's living standards will never get better till productivity is addressed, Canada is suffering a productivity crisis and you cannot build wealth by piling millions of people from the third world and give them so much social benefits. The results speak for themselves.

No we do not need 100 million people that is ridiculous, this is for politicians who want power. It is weird how you can be more concerned about what goes around in the world instead of what is happening in your own country. We should not have one more refugee or temporary foreign worker till every Canadian is employed. We should not have more more people till housing supply is more them demand. But politicians and the rich do not want that, they want real estate values to keep going up because it benefits them. I will always be for the average joe working a job. It makes no sense to have never ending population growth as if resources are infinite because they are not. The goal is to make money, the way to go that is to create a need where there is none. Another goal is to create scarcity. One way is to reduce supply and the other way is to increase demand. Politicians and the rich want more demand because they can jack up their prices is what we have been seeing since covid. Many are struggling to pay their bills, living paycheck to paycheck

Finally, your last statement makes no sense. The Liberals are piling more people then there is housing being built. In fact all the red take is causing housing construction to slow down. You need to shut down immigration. Lets put it this way, if you got a hole in your fuel tank, your solution is to put more gas to keep the tank full. But that does not resolve the problem, you need to fix the hole. Same principal. You need to shut down immigration and construct lots of new houses and apartments. And, how much natural habitat are we supposed to destroy to have more humans??? We are displacing animals from their natural habitat and destroying forests just to have more humans and for what? I am not sure i read an article that says they want to limit the immigration until Canada gets back to normal, they need to stop this shit with refugees too. Or at least send them back in there country, they seem to be working on something. They realize its causing a lot of shit.

I will admit when i was with my ex girlfriend it was easier we were 2 to pay rent and everything else now that i am alone its a bit harder, i live pay to pay and sometimes need to sort out which bill to pay during that month, and i make around 60k per year. I was able to save a bit and need to check if i have enough to buy a condo, my rent is not bad around 800$ per month for a 4 and a half, but after grocery and bills i don't have a lot left. My car is fully paid. Good thing.

As I said, the middle class is the new hidden poor. What 2fast2slow does not understand is that mass immigration causes poverty. Look at every poor country and they all got one thing in common which is rapid population growth due to people having too many kids. It will only get worse till immigration is shut down. They need a moratorium on it for at least 5 years to stabilize housing prices. Till the housing crisis is addressed, people living standards will never improve that is for the average joe working a job. Rich people and executives are making tons of money off this.
