something that has been bugging me for a long time is how most of the ads from providers give no idea of where they receive. Some of the more experienced providers do, but is still generally rare.

I also know a lot of providers get annoyed at a lot of questions via texts. Well that is an easy one to settle in the ad.

Location may not be important to some people, or some providers are definitely worth the extra mileage, but generally speaking, it would be really helpful to post approximate location. I'm sick of seeing 'Montreal', 'Laval', or even 'downtown'.

I also think it personalizes the ads and may attract more customers for some providers. If you see a provider is in your neighborhood or near your work, it peaks your interest.

The problem is, i dont see how to get this to become a trend in postings....

I agree many times I've asked for the 2 major cross streets and I get to parallel streets or get the postal code. If she does that I just stop trying and say thanks. BTW I travel by public transport and at times I can get a left, but for the lift I need about 24 hrs and at some times 48 hrs. I don't get mad or anything but I won't waste my time, and I do explain all this in the text of me being by public transport. It is annoying

they dont get annoyed at any one or two questions, but they get a lot of texts over the course of a day, a lot of which do not lead to bookings.

Typical text thread between me and provider:

- Hi, provider, my name is myname, :). How are you?
- fine thank you and you?
- good thank you, I was wondering where you receive please?
- timbuktu montreal.
- ok sorry, a little too out of my way for me. Thank you anyways.
- no response

I dont know how many times i had to go through this for nothing, and the provider too. Not efficient

I have once booked a SP, and we agree on time, and then she gave me a postal code, which is very vague. To me this practice is very annoyed and disrespects to clients, then found an excuse to cancel it.

It's not really disrespectful to give a postal code though I don't personally do it. Postal codes are often a very small area, like one single corner or even building lol. What's rude is expect a sex worker to give her exact location before the booking. This is a safety and privacy concern and a little creepy :) An approximate should be enough if the lady doesn't feel comfortable giving the exact location way in advance.

As for the ''posting location in ads'', I tried it, used to write the specific area and would still get TONS of ''heyy bb when avlbl & where u rciv plzz''. You guys may be smart and all but writing something in an ad means nothing with the huge amount of clients who read absolutely nothing besides the phone number lol

postal codes are great. specific without being specific. usually, it is only a couple of blocks. If you want to make a little less specific, you leave out the last or last 2 digits

I have the only house in my postal code... If I were to receive, that would be easy to locate me. But like Julia said, It also would be risky.

Haha you are much more patient then me! For me it's usually:

Me: Salut! Which area are of Montreal you received?
Her: Corner of X and Y
- no more text as X and Y is no go for me

Or:

Me: Salut! Which area are of Montreal you received?
Her: Corner of X and Y
Me: Ok cool are you available at X hour for 30 min? (I look like brad pitt)
Her: Yes!!!

Cheers,

I totally agree with you , when looking at ads and it says montreal its pretty big at least they should give a city or a location of some sort it would cut down the search time ,

I don't do much incalls so its a problem i don't personally have much often... but if i have a grain of salt to put is when girls have there incalls outside of Montreal... Thats like NO WAY i will be able to go there. I kinda think all incalls should be located not too far from downtown, and easily doable for both peoples in cars and the ones using the subway like me. Thing is, if im doing incall its honestly to save $ on an hotel room cause i would much rather be at my own hotel room, so i don't want to spend a lot on taxi :\

To be honest we kinda get the same thing on our side as clients. Usually downtown outcall is not a problem, but trying to get a girl farther and the agencies will not be too enchanted to drive there, or they either ask for 2h minimum and/or upcharge for the distance.

What about the clients in other parts of the town or in south or north shore ? :p

Lol yeah maybe for them its convenient. Still im sure its easier for them to make it to downtown than it is for an outsider to make it in a remote area.

Let's say it's downtown, just say what metro you're close to or for example it's near Pie IX & Ontario, as an example, I don't want the exact location but close by. I understand the safety but to give the major streets to me it's not a big issue, just my opinion

Giving an approximate location is an easy way to make everyone's lives a lot easier (in addition to price range). I'm sure I missed on plenty of providers because of their uninformative ad. Just add a postal code, a metro close, or street intersections, and if it's within my reach, I'm ten times more likely to call.

Agreed, having an approximate location would help a lot. I'd even extend that to the agencies. Might help visitors not familiar

It's a balance of convenience and safety for us. My incall's postal code only covers one building, so it's no more discreet than the address. My ads and website mention the nearest metro station, and I'll give the intersection once someone's ready to book.

However it makes me very uneasy when someone demands the exact address right away. Security is paramount in this world, and not everyone who contacts us has good intentions.

Same for me, which is why I was baffled when a guy said earlier that giving a postal code is rude and that he found an excuse to cancel because of that. LOL

All we need is a metro station, that is perfectly fine. For Laval I like when they put the area like Duvernay or Vimont. It does make a big difference for all of us seeking incall indies.

cheers,
