It must be a French poster who does not understand the dire implication of the English acronym or that VD means "Venereal Disease" as well as "Valentine's Day." A native English speaker would not make this mistake. I have seen this happen in the past when you leave posting duties to a Francophone not experienced with the subtle meanings of certain English acronyms and words. It can be dangerous, but also funny, and in the past mostly funny mistakes happened.
This is a gruesome error. But mistakes like this have happened before.
I have a wedding invitation where the response info highlights the first initials of the couple:. "T&A". It could have used full names, or A and T, or not been so highlighted, but no. I'm hoping the bridesmaids live up to the billing.
It might be a marketing blessing in disguise. No one was talking about their ads until now. It got my interest & i immediately checked out the ad & it got me peeking at their lineup.
It is maybe because in french the acronym for veneral disease is ITS...not even a disease (!( anymore,
it is ''infection transmise sexuellement'',french do not use the words '' maladie vénérienne'' anymore...
acronyms certainly are not exclusive. Every time I see "BLS", I think Zakk Wylde's Black Label Society, then Bureau of Labor Statistics-- neither of which get me excited in a certain way!
