Should I ever worry about HIV if I always use a condom and don't do anal?

I read somewhere some time ago that catching an STD is more likely with regular girls and not escorts, but I can't point to that study as it was some time ago. As for HIV, you catch it mainly from bareback anal sex. If that wasn't the case, HIV would be as common as the common cold.
I'm not sure about the relative likelihood of contracting an STD or STI between "regular" girls and SPs as I've seen all types. IMHO SPs are definitely more aware of the risks and undergo testing much more frequently but also have significantly more partners. Across all demographics, I've noticed an improved awareness in prevention and testing which is a good thing. I've also heard SPs complain that they are increasingly being pressured for unprotected sex which is highly disturbing. I can not stress enough prevention and frequent testing are necessary to stay safe.

Pretty accurate wrt to the HIV comments. You need to transmit blood or semen into the body to infect a person which is why the virus disproportionately targets gay men and women. (Women are twice as likely to contract HIV through unprotected vaginal sex than men while receptive anal sex is almost 40x more "risky" than insertive vaginal sex according to meta studies.)

Yes, there is an improved awareness in safe sexual practice, least for most people my age. I did secondary school in Montreal and 4x every year from secondaire 1-5, we get a sexologue to talk to us about sex LOL, so we know about safe practice, incubation period, etc…

(One anecdote) at one of the seance, the sexologue told us it is BS that a condom is too small to be put on. She made us blow the condom like a ballon and it got bigger than a regular party balloon XD.
She also told us to use water based lubricant and never use oil as a lubricant. To test it out, we rub the condom « balloon » with baby oil and it exploded
Then a guy raised his hand and said he is paranoid the condom break and he is afraid to get his gf pregnant so can he put 3 condoms to make sure if one break there’s another one. And the answer is: put one condom, multiple condoms frotte against each other which can make all 3 break.
ofc, check expiration date is important too.

Sounds like urban legend. How the heck did they even conduct such study which has sufficient sample size where data set is unbiased?

Anything beyond complete abstinence will pose a risk, but if you use protection in the correct form, you’d probably have a greater chance of dying in a car crash than catching HIV.

It's ok to keep in mind there is no ZERO risk. Using condom is the best way to reduce the risk if you have multiple partners.
If you are anxious about it even trying to keep the risk at minimum, maybe you should find help to reduce your anxiety.
Living is risky.
