I am wondering if any of you guys have bought Instant Pots or Air Fryers and if so what brand/model and your experiences with them. Instant Pot is a Canadian company/maker of multicookers that are soaring in popularity in the USA and one of my buddies advised me to throw away my crockpot and get myself an Instant Pot. So I am asking you guys what your experience has been. I am reading online that the Instant Pot can cook ribs to fall off the bone tender in just 25 minutes. It is apparently a pressure cooker, and pressure cookers have been around for at least 50 years and probably a lot more, so I do not understand what is different technology wise with these Instant Pots that all of a sudden exploded them in popularity within the last few years. But apparently they have some technological advantage over older model pressure cookers, I just don't know what it is.
And my coworker told me she has a Ninja Air Fryer that is just awesome, it will fry anything with no oil, just no stick spray and is great for reheating things like egg rolls and pizza so that they are still crispy. What is the technology going on here? What are your experiences? I heard it can cook raw chicken wings crispy and fully cooked in 15 minutes. I need some more Covid-19 pandemic friendly cookware. Thanks
