Who cares if he speaks French? see thats the problem with Le Canadiens! its about W I N N I N G!!!!! not what rolls off a persons tounge..... Le Canadiens have lost sight about whats the most important thing in ANY Sport, and thats winning championships at ALL costs....i repeat at ALL COSTS, im all for tradition, but what good is tradition if that tradition of "winning" ends because you have to have a french speaking coach instead of the best person for the job??

you mean to tell me if the Habs hired a non french speaking coach there would be an uproar and the fans would burn down the city? ok so what if they won the CUP with that same said NON French speaking coach? i suppose no parade? get real, the Fans would embrace him and give him the key to the city..... tradition or not....

How's Quinn's French? A coach in Montreal must be able to converse with the press in French. While this may seem unimportant in actually coaching the team, it is none the less a requirement here in Montreal. If not I would suggest bringing up the coach from Hamilton. He's coached many of the players on the team and next year there will be even more who will have graduated up to the Habs. But unless he takes a crash course in French, I don't see this as a real possibility.
