Not surprising for support for Ukraine since the Republicans compose 54 % of the Congress !
Yet a Gallup poll conducted in June shows 62% of Americans support Ukraine's efforts in the war. Regarding inflation the US has the lowest rate of all G7 countries so we are doing something right in that regard.
The post did not say it was the congress but the people polled should not allow the congress more funding.
You can't be serious if you think a poll from 2 months ago does not accurately reflect the present opinions of those polled.
Yes, I have been in the US for over 30 years and the Biden handling of Hawaii has many upset, so yes things have changed in 2 months. His $700 to the people in Hawaii has changed a lot of minds.
The polling is about Ukraine not Hawaii. US citizens' favorable support for Ukraine has been relatively constant since Putin's illegal invasion in 2021. However, the polling that you cite is specifically about continued funding of the war. First, no one should overreact to the results of one poll. Second, as Mitch McConnell has stated, the dollars designated for Ukraine are dollars spent in the US producing weapons and ammunition. These are not dollars given away to Ukraine rather dollars spent domestically that support American jobs and the American economy.
First off the war started in 2014, it's OK many do not know that. On 24 February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine in an escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War which began in 2014.
Second the polling was about the Ukraine but people turned sour after seeing the Biden response to Hawaii which decreased the support for the Ukraine. I know quite a few Dems in the US and many are not pleased with Biden’s spending in the Ukraine and lack of spending for Hawaii and other necessities at home.
I think we all know that Putin illegally annexed Crimea in 2014. The point is, since Putin illegally invaded Ukraine in 2021, American support for Ukraine has be consistently high. I know quite a few more Democrats than you including in Hawaii. Democrats have not soured on Biden. FEMA is on the ground in Hawaii and spending is a function of Congress not the POTUS.
