honesty is overrated, and some things are best kept to one's self. Hurting a loved one by telling them the truth is more despicable than prancing around with SPs to escape and enjoy life.

I was thinking like that before and hid many things from my wife in the last 7-8 years of our relation. Until a point where I had no choice but tell her the truth about at least one woman. I never said it didn't hurt her. Far from it! She did hurt, yelled, cried, was in total disbelief, and all kind of emotions... But you know what? She forgave! So was it needlessly? no.

I agree telling the truth is not easy, and if I had not been forced to do it I sure wouldn't have, but in retrospect I'm happy I did. Everyone's situation is obviously different, but we men often underestimate how important honesty is in our relations with women.

I'd be curious to start a poll, for women, and see what is the most important quality there are looking in their life partner. I'm sure a sexy look or being good in bed has its importance, but honesty is probably very high on the scale.

I'm sure honesty is probably one of the higher rating things a woman wants. But what you have to understand is that in life, we don't always get what we want. A woman wants an honest man, just like a guy wants a woman that knows how to please him all the time. It's a 2 way street you know. You can't just say, "The woman has her rights and deserves the best and if you don't treat her good and you're cheating on her, you're a dog."
