Just as I was writing this the tread got deleted. Since this seems a good topic and ONLY about licensed regular nonsexual massage, I thought I would restart the thread without violating the rules:
Yes! Sometimes, I need an authentic massage. I used to need very deep muscle work on the neck and shoulders, but not as much in the last decade. Decades ago, I went to a massage school in Phoenix with student massage. The students were not deep enough, but I also enjoyed regular massages from different women.
I am going to see if that school still has student massage. There was no instructor in the room and they were required to have so many hours of clinical experience. They were more in the advanced stages of training, not just starting school - so they were allowed to work on real people, not just dummies (non-human type) or each other.
Now, when I have a tight neck or shoulder, I go to a Chiropractor who uses the Activator method, which is just as effective as the old thrust method. But I only have to go a few times a year and have not seen a regular (or any) massage person in Phoenix for a few years. But I am going to look into the student idea—thanks for mentioning it
If, as suggested in the deleted thread, you have in Montreal (or Toronto), I would be interested.
