First let me thank EagerBeaver for pointing me in the right direction - even if he wasn’t EAGER to do so. I am new to the board, so my search skills are certainly poor. I did try to look for answers to my questions, as they seemed basic, and I assumed the topic had been covered somewhere. I didn’t manage to find the excellent thread you sent me to. I really don’t understand this tekkie shit! I thought these moderator thingies were supposed to keep us all in line.

On the other hand my post does not seem to be so redundant judging by the flurry of replies. My basic motivation for opening up the discussion (alright, re-opening the discussion) was to clarify the state of things here in Montreal. If you’re going to play the game, know the rules, know the risks!

We all know we are engaging in “marginal” activities, and we need to know what the downside is at all times. Put together, the subsequent posts give a good overall picture of which activities are “high risk”, and which are are probably under the LE radar. For anyone like me who wants to stay out of the spotlight at all costs, this is valuable information.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I’m sure I’m not the only one out here who read the comments with interest.

Okay, with your reply you have earned some points in my book. I actually did not mind steering you in the right direction, the reason I was not EAGER to do so is that there have been a recent flurry of new threads on well discussed topics, showing that many posters are creating Board clutter. This actually makes research more difficult for those of us more adept or inclined to do it.

I hope you don't mind but I have asked the Mods to consolidate this thread with the more pertinent recent threads on this subject.

I think Captain Renault's post contains a good summary of the point I have made above in this thread, and in some of the prior threads on this topic, regarding the concern being how the laws get enforced, not what they say or don't say.

I usually only see outcall SPs in Montreal and I have never, for one moment, worried about LE in Montreal. I have worried about it in the USA which is why I stopped full time hobbying in the USA. I believe the only situation in which Montreal LE would become a concern in an outcall SP situation is the hobbyist's own indiscreet behavior (loud sex, yelling, screaming, verbal or physical abuse of SP, etc) bringing attention to himself, all of which has also been discussed in a prior thread.

When I entered this discussion I was interested in questions pertaining to the laws surrounding sex activities such as practiced by contributors to this board. I felt we all needed to know the rules of the game(s), and I felt sure there was good information out there. I have not been disappointed. I feel I have a much better understanding of the “picture” as a result of the posts I have read. I want to thank the moderator for condensing this to a single thread. I think the issue of how the law may impact us is an ongoing debate, and should always be in our minds.

Frankly though, I believe that most of us are only interested in how we might be “busted” (whatever that means?”) There is THE LAW, the interpretation of THE LAW, and the application of “THE LAW. Personally, I am only really interested in the third part, how is the law applied?. In other words, what is the risk?

From the discussion in this thread I would conclude the following:

Street Action - pisses everyone off - high risk
Underage - pisses everyone off - high risk
Incall - may piss of neighbours - medium risk
FS club - activities way over the line - medium risk
Strip club with “action” in the booths - medium/low risk
MP with “options” - medium/low risk
Incall (indy) - low risk (poor location i.e. neighbours - medium risk)
Outcall -low risk

I would say Outcall is a "neglible risk", or something to designate it as lower than low, otherwise I agree with your risk assessments.

sinbad, your assesment is on the money, though like egarbeaver said outcall is lower than low risk, actually it is legal... especially with an indy.

FS clubs

On reflection I agree, femalelover, FS clubs should be higher than I put them on any risk scale. I gues I put them "medium" because the seem to be tolerated where they exist. I only really know Hilltop and Frontiere. Both are out in the boonies, well away from residential areas, and nobody seems to care that they are there. They have existed for years. Although I have visited them, I am reluctant to return, because they do seem high risk ventures.
