By the way, Reg, perhaps Bill never did get a BJ from Janis joplin(hmmm... nasty), but the man did get it on with some fabulous women, such as Angie Dickinson and Adrienne Barbeau. Those babes alone make him my hero forever!!
And yes he was married for the last few decades, but his 20-year marriage to wife number 2 was cancelled due to repeated instances of philandering...

Celine is still obviously more famous, why i even went to Nickels saturday night if front of the Eaton Centre and as soon as i walked in, whos pic do i see? CELINES!!!!!!!! shes freaking everywhere in Quebec! (sarcasm)

Shatner had a lifetime achievement award from the Governor General in 2011. Celine got a Governor's award in 1992.

And what if Shatner with his estimated $600 million- $1 billion in assets walked into your strip club and asked for a lap dance, while Cohen gave you the eye from the other side of the bar? Not farfetched since Shatner still visits family in Montreal.
Shatner does not need me to defend his talent, he has Emmy awards and Golden Globe awards to do that for him. His talent is his longevity and prominence and stardom with multiple roles and multiple mediums in multiple decades. It is all right here in this thread, a good chunk of it. Celine's star has been fading while Shatner's continues to streak across the sky as evidenced by the soon to be release Priceline ads I just posted.

For an American (for old one's, mentalities have changed), Most Famous WOrldWide = Most Famous in USA. That's why some old americans think WIlliam Shatner is the most famous Quebecker WorldWide, which is quite a stupid idea.
Shatner is now a famous clown making fun of himself in USA (the only way he found to still have his drug : the celebrity), if he wasnt doing the clown on american tv, everybody would have forgotten him and wouldnt even recoignize his puffy face... But in the rest of the world who doesnt watch at the american shows (I know its hard to believe lol), he has been forgotten for ages...

My vote goes to former legendary wrestler Maurice "Mad Dog" Vachon. He not only competed professionally & was champion several times, but he also represented his country (Quebec) at the Olympics once prior to turning pro. His his heyday, he easily was one of the most recognizeable faces on the planet. They loved him in Japan!
