I would go to $75 on your next bid in 24 hours......although I doubt it will be happening for you there either.
If you have another computer you have access to, set up another Priceline account with a different credit card so that you can put in 2 bids every 24 hours...this is what i do. I am not sure if this will work with different email accounts and credit cards on the same computer or not.....but you can try. If you have more than 1 account you can increase the number of bids you make and go up in smaller increments.

Eager...I wish I had access to two pc's and cards...I don't....hmmmm...so what do u think I should bid on a three star and a 4 star for those dates?

It is totally possible to use 2 different Priceline accounts on the same computer. I have been doing it that way for a while now with no trouble. I did use 2 different credit cards and 2 different emails, but the credit cards both have the same name and billing address. I bid on the same exact stuff, first with one account and then again with my second if I was not successful the first time.
I find this a usefull strategy also, what can I say I am an impatient bidder.

Omni for $115 via Hotwire
I have (used the CA address option) and it works fine. By the way, you can easily log onto Priceline (with different accounts) using the same computer. I've been doing it for years. Also, i recently saw the Omni going for $115 via Hotwire. Pretty good, considering the dates were right in the middle of Jazzfest. Too many people are focusing on Prlceline these days when they should be keeping an eye on Hotwire.

The Sheraton Centre (my usual hotel) was full, but I got a room at the 4-points for a rate that was not unreasonable considering it was Jazzfest (of course, my company was paying). There was no Jazzfest entertainment taking place outdoors, but there was lots of indoor entertainment available.

When I use Priceline, I always check www.biddingfortravel.com first, to see what others have gotten hotels for around the same date. I NEVER bid on less than a four star hotel, and usually get either the Omni or more recently the Intercontinental. Most recent was for weekday last week and I paid $67US.
When Priceline is not getting good results, or if I don't want to preapy because I may need to change plans, I use Le Nouvel Hotel on Rene Levesque and St. Mathieu. About C$125 / night. 1 Block off St. Catherine, short walk to Crescent, Peel, etc. Clean, good sized rooms, easy access to elevators, accessible directly from parking garage (Indy's like that), parking is something like $12 max per day, wireless Internet.

Le Nouvel Hotel is a dump. There are so many better choices it does not even warrant a second look.

Have you ever stayed here Beav? It's actually not a dump at all and the rooms are comparable to the Hyatt. Not sure if you're speaking from experience or not.
I've always had very good reports about Le Nouvel Hotel.....from both hobbyists who've stayed there and sps who have went there. I'm just not crazy about it's location.....but i could probably be able to live with it. Last week, i spent a night at Hotel Maritime Plaza, on Guy & Rene Levesque. I was at first weary about staying in that area, but i now consider it a great location.....i love that hotel except for the fact the AC (if there was any) sucked!

If Im looking to make a trip to Mtl Jul 5-8, should I book now or wait til mon or tue? Today is Sat, the prices arent great but I guess I can live with them, but Im wondering if the prices for these same rooms will be less or more, or the same a couple of days from now????

They'll probably only fluctuate by a few dolllars either way. You're better off booking it now that way guaranteeing that you get something.
