Well malheureusement ca été une trifecta....HABS--LEAFS--CANUCKS.....i understand frustration with the OILERS...just too bad.....HAWKS---12th in their division like Montréal---did it.
What a spectacular comeback by the LEAFS.....thrilling game.....3 goals with empty net in the last 3 min..WOW---and a win in ot......momentum is on their side......hockey at his best.

If you guys thought Alexis LaFreniere is the first French Canadian player the Rangers ever drafted #1 overall, you would be wrong. Andre Veillleux was drafted #1 overall by NY Rangers in 1965:

This is why all shots on goal are not created equal. Some SOGs hit the back of the net and are goals. Some hit the post and are not goals. The bottom line is the Leafs hit the post in this shootout and the Rangers scored. I think the Rangers were deserving especially because they didn't tank like Toronto did to get Matthews and some of their other young stars. Toronto tanked and sucked for like 5 years. The Rangers have been rebuilding for 2 years, haven't sucked, and with intelligence and patience in their rebuild, the results were already showing before this amazing victory. They have smart people in their front office and their dumbass owner is at least smart enough not to bother the hockey management team while he messes with the Knicks.
Rangers will sip from Stanley Cup before the Leafs do.
