This looks like a big victory for Kraft: the videos are prohibited for good. Is the outcome now a sure thing?

It is a victory for Kraft. But it is also a big victory for all Americans who still believe that the Constitution limits the power of the government to intrude on the lives of its citizens.

Three cheers for Kraft! I hate the Patriots but I am now a big fan of Robert Kraft. :cheer2: :whoo: :thumb: :clap2: :usa2:

Not a fan of the Patriots either.
But I admire this mans fighting spirit. Looks like he will finally beat it ,,, another happy ending for him soon , no pun intended.
Well done to Mr. Kraft for assembling a legal dream team and pushing back .

Apparently Kraft's attorneys asked the Court to go further and prevent the prosecution from releasing the tapes outside of Court. There is no ruling on that yet, nor is it clear if such a ruling would stop someone who already made an illicit copy and is sitting on it outside the custody of the State's Attorneys. You can't order someone to refrain from releasing something they no longer have control over. My theory is the copy got made before the original ever reached the State's Attorney. That is not supposed to happen, but oops! - it may have. And I have seen a few oops in my day.

Well, it would certainly be nice to get everything all at once, but I think even a small step in the right direction should be welcomed and appreciated. If Kraft indeed prevails, wouldn't that be a first real legal setback to the outrageous idea that commercial sex always equals trafficking?

Justice is easier when you are a billionnaire.

Now what the fuck such a billionnaire was doing in such a clumsy place. Imagine the fun this dude could have in Montreal ;)

Cheers,

Around the corner
Guess he likes cheap Asian hand jobs.
Trump likes McDonald’s hamburgers, both can easily afford better.

Guess when you have an itch you need to scratch it with the nearest thing that relieves it.

I am actually impressed by the fact that he is 77 and still had the urge to visit the place two days in row. He should be celebrated, not sued.

And as for the way he should conduct his business, whether sex-buying or otherwise, I for one don't consider myself qualified to give him advice. I feel he is doing quite all right without my help.

True, but so what? There is not much of market for a sex tape involving a 78-year old guy getting a hand job from a 50+ Asian woman. Who cares whether someone puts the video on Pornhub. I'm not going to watch it.

Well, Kraft is obviously not a regular 78-year old guy, so the market for that tape does exist. In fact, yellow rags like Boston Globe are salivating at the thought of obtaining it. It is not clear to me though how they could use it if they indeed managed to get it. They would be well-advised to think twice before messing with Kraft's legal team.

You are missing the point. Once the tape is out in the public domain, the NFL can’t ignore it and they will have to suspend him. If that is a “so what”, your post is very ignorant. Are you aware of the NFL personal conduct policy and that it applies to owners?

Does nobody in this thread get that the Court case was never going to be a problem and the NFL personal conduct policy WAS going to be a problem from day 1????? There is nothing the Court case could have done that fucks with Kraft’s ownership of the Patriots. The NFL can and will fuck with it if the tape is released.

The precedent on this is the Colts owner who was fined and suspended for DWI. I believe his fine was $500,000, and suspended a bunch of games.

The NFL can ignore it and they will not suspend him. He might get some kind of minor reprimand or sanction, but this case is much ado about nothing. Eager, stop making a mountain out of molehill. You sound like the egocentric Florida prosecutor who was trying to make a sex trafficking case out of a routine prostitution bust.

Keep in mind that Kraft is very popular with the fans.

A post-handjob standing ovation for Kraft at a Celtics game.

The NFL can’t ignore it. There is precedent. See my last post. You obviously don’t watch much NFL. They are the most reactionary professional sports league in the world. If the tape is released they WILL suspend Kraft.

BTW are you aware the NFL put players like Ray Rice and Kareem Hunt on administrative leave due to conduct in publically released tapes? Rice hasn’t played in the NFL since.

The only fans Kraft is popular with are Patriot fans. They are 1 of 30 plus teams in the league.

Trivia question:

What crimes were Ray Rice and Kareem Hunt charged with after the NFL suspended them for violating the NFL personal conduct policy for conduct observed on publicly released videotapes?

Special award for anyone who knows the answer!

Look at what happens in other civilized countries. The French were horrified when their potential Presidential candidate was perp-marched in NYC and jailed in that hotel sex case that was later dismissed.

Patron, you really meant to say “frog marched” rather than “perp marched”, but didn’t because the guy you are referring to is French. You shouldn’t be so politically correct with your speech on an anonymous escort review board. TBH I think your politically correct speech goes too far, because “frog-marched” would be the correct term for every other non French defendant.

Yep, it’s happened now even to you. PC now rules the world!

You're right. I stopped watching and caring about NFL games when they allowed a dumb, has-been, attention-seeking player named Kaepernick to inject politics into Sunday (and Thursday and Monday and Saturday) football games. I don't give a fuck about the NFL.
