First off, Halak is as good as Price in my books. If not, he's close. As for George 'Zamboni' Laraque, he doesn't scare anyone anymore & it's obvious he's fed up with the enforcer role. As for Bouillon, he really looked tough out there fighting with his visor. What a tough guy!! Heck, i'd even fight Laraque myself if i'd be allowed to keep my visor during the fight!
Even though the final score was lopsided, it was actually a very fun game to watch. It was obvious from the first faceoff that Toronto wasn't going to allow Mtl to push them around & it seems Brad May's presence made the whole team bigger, including even Mike Grabovski!!
But the highlight of the night for me was seeing Jamal Mayers DESTROY Tom Kotsopoulos, no doubt in response to Kotsopoulos' dirty hit on Mike Van Ryn during their last game, which i attended. I chuckled midway into the game when Andy Deveaux skated towards Mike Komisarek & it looked like Komisarek had just seen a ghost & skated away and grabbed on to little Nik Hagman. Heck, even I wouldn't be blink if little Nik Hagman would challenge me to a fight!!
However, to be fair to Komisarek, i'm not surprised since the scars of his anihilation at the hands of Milan Lucic a couple of months ago were definitely still fresh in his mind.
By the way, my 2nd favorite team is now the Bruins. God i'm starting to love that team!!! Even Michael Ryder plays tough now as a member of the Big Bad Bruins!! With the likes of Shawn Thornto, Zdeno Chara & Milan Lucic, visiting teams are starting to come up with a bad case of the 'Boston Flu' everytime they're about to face the Bruins in Boston, reminiscent to the good ol' days of the 70's when visiting players would suddenly fall ill prior to a game with the Broadstreet Bullies (Philadelphia Flyers), which was then known as the 'Philadelphia Flu'.
