If they were less Dick Heads, they would of at least tought of André Savard...but Hell No ! They wouldnt be caught dead with a frenchie to put them back on tracks !
Think about it...Wasnt he the best guy for the job ? The Leafs need to rebuild from scratch, they dont have any players on the roster, no draft picks, no vision...the list goes on and on and on....
After all, wasnt it Savard that helped build back the Sens, and after that the Habs that were looking like the actual Leafs, with no directions, bad draft picks and no vision ?
Why cant the guy that helped makins the Habs and Sens respectable teams cant do the same in TO ?
I say they should have named him GM and let him pick his coahing staff, maybe hire Bob Hartley before the Sens do, bring his recruiting team with him, he must still have lots of friends and I'm sure they would have loved the challenge of rebuilding the Leafs up.
