Another English language pet peeve : "peoples"

People doesn't take a s. It's already the plural form of "person", technically. The only time you'd use an s at the end is if you're referring to more than one distinct ethnic group ("the peoples of Canada and Vietnam" for example).
Is peeps, as in these are my peeps, acceptable?

I guess so? But also I'm not the language authority, just a pedantic annoying hot girl. You can say whatever you want however you want to say it, ultimately, as long as it isn't a slur :p

Hit a trifecta of pet peeves this morning at breakfast.
2 single guys holding a conversation 3 tables apart, someone on their cell using speaker for their conversation and cold toast where the peanut butter does not melt.
The day can only get better, I hope :)
Just to add, the worst was years ago when someone was clipping their fingernails at their table, even my wife at the time could not stop me from calling the guy out for it.

My pet peeve are tags sticking out of your clothes. You know the tags around the collar with details on how to wash your shirt. I will go out of my way to push them back in so that they don't stick out.
This got me in trouble one time at the water slides, this girl had her tag sticking out from her bottom part of her bikini and while in the line up, I just went and tucked it in real quick...she turned around and slap the guy behind her and I got slapped by my wife for doing it. That might have been a good thing because I think she slapped the other guy harder then my wife did me.

It bothers me too but I don’t touch people, I just tell them it’s sticking out

I can understand why she did that. It's extremely weird to touch strangers, especially their bikini bottom, without their consent lol. The best and more respectful way to go about this is to mind your business or simply tell the person so they can fix it themselves
