Pop-up ads on merb

Hey guys , as of this morning, every once in a while when i click on any thread on merb, i get a pop-up of adultfriendfinder website. Is it a virus in my browser or is everyone getting this. Just to mention, im on a computer not a phone.

I also get the pop up in my browser, both phone and computer. Really not a fan.

I know ads revenues are important to merb, but pop ups are annoying and not to mention this open something with a huge image of naked woman, not very subtile if browsing merb in public. I get that the ads have naked women lol but the louge does not...

Hopefully merb admins can find a different kind of revenue...

Mine started doing it as well dispite having ad blockers and a vpn, so I dont think it is a virus

Not a fan either but bills have to be paid, I'm sure. Plus it's a small price to pay to read Merb.

hello, we are testing out new ad revenue. The pop up should only come up once per day no matter how many times you log on. Many adult sites have them. We have been doing it on TERB and PERB and nobody had any issue with it. I will talk with Mark and see if he can tone down the naked pics. Increased ad revenue means we can spend more on getting more traffic. We are Canada's largest online adult community and want to make it even larger and stronger. Thanks
