Prebookings and cancellations

Hello everyone

After a bit of a frustrating few weeks, and a few discussions with close indy friends, I have a need to share and ask something.

As you know, most of us indies, especially when we share our incall locations and have to book them early, prefer to take bookings at least 24 hours in advance.

It is however my understanding that most gentlemen would prefer to see how they are feeling and how their schedule is looking on the day of, and make a date within the day.
This makes a lot of sense, not everyone is able to know how horny they will be next Tuesday

The issue here is that many of us indies are experiencing a large percentage of our prebookings being cancelled at the last minute.
Most of the time a good reason is given, but this seems to be a big issue for many girls i know, and it has been a recurring issue for me in the past month particularly.

I've seen threads recently about how frustrating it can be when a lady cancels on the day of a prebooked meeting, so you can imagine it kinds throws our day a little, especially considering most of us only book 1 or 2 meetings a day.

Would it maybe be preferable for us indies to reserve "available time" in our schedule for the day of, maybe put a bit more work into answering emails and planning last minute, in order to offer more availability on the day of?

I am giving it a shot this week, I will see how it goes

Yes i agree is very strange i think lot of competition from i dont want to say Loll but is my first Time i have this problem but is funny because many indy they are wise girl dont give up

No I am thinking of reserving spots in my schedule a few times a week to only put available on the day of.
For example I'd keep my Tuesdays and Saturdays for prebookings but keep my Thursdays to be available... something of the sort

I do so much agree on that part..cause for me it is all about timing...and if i dont feel that horny on that day...i would be disapointed to go in a way ...but also i could think about it for a week or since my reservation with the lady and have butterfly when finally the day is arrive ...So i think a day or two during a week that you do put some available time couldnt hurt at all and could be a nice surprise for the client to know that..

Yes it is very frustrating.... and i could imagine your feeling....very sad to hear about people who does that on the other side...

Even in the agencies there seems to be a lot of last minute cancellation in the past month or so. I've even spoken to girls from other agencies who have said the same. However I understand that things can come up its just odd that this seems to have increased recently. I thought the whole "spring is in the air" thing made people hump like bunnies ( jokes )

And don't forget, in the last minute cancellations-no shows, there is a fair amount of time wasters: people who never meet and yes,
some girls & agencies in the industry are doing this unfair kind of competition also, but most on visit/tour. They want to discouraged other to come and visit.
That's why we are asking for some recommandation also, not only to know if you are nice gentleman :smile:

That's got to apply much more to locals who have far greater time availability options than traveling visitors. When I go I only have a few days and I have been waiting along time for the opportunity. I can't afford to miss seeing someone, and only once since 2001 have I not taken an appointment on a day that was not a traveling day only because I did not feel good, but luckily I had not booked anyone already.

I know how it feels. Some ladies have cancelled on me for various reasons of their own. Once it was an hour before the planned meeting, once the lady had confirmed the meeting a couple of days before then she refused to confirm on the same day and never called to explain why she didn't show. It was very disappointing and incredibly unprofessional.

Still I know the much greater frequency with these problems must be very hard on you ladies, especially since it's much more about meeting your expenses.

What I find really bizarre is that I haven't had a single cancellation all month (except for the duos). I have a feeling the bad luck will hit me next month

You have to remember that it also happens to the client, day of, all pumped up to see a gal that a pre-reservation was made with and lo and behold.........she cancels I have had to cancel on more than on occasion over the years but always gave the SP ample warning that the day wasn't going to be possible. Example, if I was seeing someone at 3:00pm I would be sure to cancel in the am, as early as possible. We all, clients and SP's have another life that will on occasion take priority over the sexy little interludes we enjoy from time to time. I'm sure as was suggested here that there are also time wasters who get off on booking then cancelling but Amelie, wow, why would a client cancel an opportunity to see you

As disappointing and inconvenient as it must be when the lady cancels on you guys, the difference here is that this is our profession, and when it happens to us we lose money, money we use to live and pay our bills by, and it can really set someone back if they aren't given enough notice to try and book someone else for that time slot, especially for the low-volume indys.
And as Amelie mentioned, when you're sharing an incall location, when someone last minute cancels or no-shows, then not only does that SP lose out, but any other one who shares the location and could have booked during that time does as well.

I'm very curious though, there's a strange pattern where at certain times tons of no-shows and cancellations happen to tons of SP's all around the same time. What could be causing this? The weather? Hockey season? I want to do some sociological research on this to find out! ;P

Seems a few works trips are being canceled, and a flu is still going around... also maybe tax season? who knows

I also got a few messages from regulars suggesting I hit them up on days when I have a last minute cancellation to see what they are up to.
It's a good idea to set up such a deal with a few good regulars.
I would never go ahead an write someone out of the blue, so I was happily surprised by the suggestion

For me the answer is no

However I can say there is a correlation between cancelers ,if you ca find it you will reduce your cancellation rates .

And I am all for parties
