Republicans pray for that day as well, but for different reasons.
Whether this poll holds true depends on what the new enlightened Democratic leadership does with the country. From what I've seen and heard, my hopes are not high. This is what people will remember in four years, as the memories of Trump's personality fades.
He's likely feeling great. Sure, the loss will bother him, perhaps significantly, but he will return to his wealth, his private jets, his women, his circle of friends and yes, the banks that will still line up when the dust settles to lend him money. Presidents are most successful after they leave office. He will be no different. He many have lost certain key relationships, but my guess is he has more than made up for it in other places. And he will return to what he perceives as a great life (which is all that matters to him) having never given a second thought about any of the people who are consumed with anger and resentment like a poison eating away at them from deep inside.

What we are witnessing is the failure of the 2 party system. as both the Democratic and Republican parties have drifted to the extreme left and right due to influences of special interest groups, to the detriment of the overwhelming population that is in the center. It is eventually going to break, and what will break it is a charismatic 3rd party leader who wins the election. I think this needs to happen, and it eventually will happen. If you look at the history of political parties in the USA, they evolved over time and it was not always a 2 party system. Now it needs to evolve further. A powerful 3rd party will reshape the other 2. A 4th party might help as well.

Biden said the scientists "will ensure everything we do is grounded in science, facts and the truth."
A pioneer in mapping the human genome — the "book of life" — is in line to be director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy and adviser on science. Eric Lander is the founding director of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard and was the lead author of the first paper announcing the details of the human genome. He would be the first life scientist to have that White House job.
