I'm not a big fan of the holidays but I'm hoping to see my regulars this month. One thing I like about Christmas is how quiet everything is outside for 2 weeks.
I am a big fan of the holidays, nothing like being with your children and grandchildren at Christmas.
I will definitely also se the young ladies I see most often, time for presents and to let them know they are appreciated.
Not everyone has a family or good memories around the holidays.. It's nice of you to offer presents to the ladies you see tho! and I'm glad for you that you get to enjoy some quality time with your family.
Pas trop traumatisé par l'hiver malgré que je ne sois pas né aussi, j'apprécie la luminosité des journées malgré le froid. Ma seule contrariété est de devoir ranger la moto.
J'aime mieux quand il y a de la neige, au moins la lumière se reflète dedans. Le début de l'hiver quand il n'y a pas de neige c'est vraiment le pire...

Il y en a ici. Pas beaucoup mais assez pour mettre dans l’ambiance.
J’ai installé de l’éclairage. Ça met un peu de magie.
I like to look at the snow from beside a nice warm fireplace or on a postcard.
Snow can be amazingly beautiful and picturesque, but it all gets ruined when you go out and the -20, -30 cold and wind hits you in the face.
I miss the gorgeous white sand beaches and warm sunshine of Australia, I would take that anytime over snow. The problem is that it is so far removed from the rest of the world.

Fun fact : lately I fall asleep listening to cat purring sounds because I heard it decreases stress. It works.. I tried binaural beats and I don't always like them, I think you have to wear headphones for them to really work
My mom, not that I don't think of her all the time, just lately more so.
Last visit with her, she looked frail, lost and I made jokes and tried to keep her in good spirits. I like having fun, and I always get her to laugh, lately not so much.
She just turned 92, can this be my last Christmas shared with her, a sad thought but a reality.
One-day she will not be around for me to visit and as time will pass, she will be a memory, one to cherish.
