I am 100% with you but, unfortunately life has taught me that most insecure gf are not capable of earring about ex, or mums.
If you want my opinion on this, it all depends on how you bring it up to them. personally I've felt bad hearing about exes when somebody compared me to them in a way that was meant to make me feel inferior and jealous (emotional abuse) but i am sure this isn't what you're doing.. the reason why a lot of women are insecure is because many of us have been in abusive and toxic relationships and we were kinda raised to feel like we need to compete with each other.. but in reality when you are in a relationship you need to learn to trust the person that you love :) it can be pretty difficult sometimes but it ends up being very rewarding.. i think in the beginning of intimate relationships jealousy is normal because everything is still very intense and new and a lot of people fear losing their new partner, at least that's my experience.. but eventually that feeling should go away.

This has always been my experience. I would add that youth adds to the insecurity. For me personally, I have become much more secure and comfortable with who I am as a person as I have got older and that translates to security and trust in relationships.

i relate! i still struggle with insecurity but for the most part its usually because someone has done something to trigger it..

One last hurrah…

Insecurity is normal in any relationship, it’s basic human nature. Key thing I believe is for both parties to not feed into it. Take it seriously and nip it in the bud. If you are both committed to a common outcome, then communication, understanding, conflict resolution, and even forgiveness could/should be part of the solution. Most of the time emotions can cloud that. Simply take the other persons ‘feelings’ into consideration and put yourself in their shoes. Most of us fall short in that respect, myself included. Life is always work in progress IMHO…

With all due respect, who resigned and left you to be Queen Mod? The value of a thread is to be able to view its history without having to jump around. You may not like that people go off on tangents but that’s life and part of the value.

Just because you started a thread, doesn’t mean you own the thread. Comes across as a form of entitlement not to mention condescending.

Let’s leave the moderating to the actual mods.
As @MindYourBeesWax said one day "[...] meditate, workout everyday, and learn to channel your negative energy towards practicing love, kindness and fairness towards all, sounds like you might need it."

I think if the options to create a new thread is there, it's up to the users to use it responsibly.

I don't know why OP wanted a new thread (seems technical difficulty perhaps ) but it doesn't bother me none, and she even linked to part 2, and left this one opened... Where's the entitlement and condescension?

Reasoning was deliberately placed in part 2 - citing her own technical issues (I.e. slow internet).

Shall we limit each thread to say 10 pages? Or 20, or 50?

Doesn’t make sense... you can always click on the latest post circumventing all the history.

My random thought of the day cheerio :)
I must admit I paid little attention to the screen name and "new member" title. I should have guessed you were just hungry.

Cheerio it is ;)

I am just applying the same logic I’ve used for the thread Ask me anything. There are 3 parts because the threads started to be very long.

If you don’t feel like using the new one, don’t

I think it was on terb, a user said he was looking at SPs wishlists but not to buy them things, he said he was looking at them to get ideas for himself.

I think about it whenever I update my wishlist. I feel like adding a nice beard trimmer just in case he takes a look at my list :p

I have seen a lot of people on the forum expressing an inclination to book an Indy but the price being the major obstacle,

So considering an avg donation of 500, you find 12 guys willing to contribute 42$ per month for 12 months. You draw turns randomly to order who goes 1st to 12th

Each month the designated person has 500 to book an indy without breaking the bank, hoping the 42$ does not impact their individual budget,

The most complicated is finding 12 guys who won't skip on the contribution after they have taken their turn,

That's not a terrible idea
