Went to restaurant Sens at the hotel de mortagne in boucherville...Very nice! Got a beef tartare as a starter and beef filet and finish with a wonderful creme brûlée
As an hotel restaurant I have to say I was impress amazing food they brought us some amuse-guele too! Highly recommend

I went there once or twice in my life and realized you don't go there for the food. It's a good place to hang out during the summer and drink beer on the terrace while watching the hotties walk by. But definitely not a place know for good food.

The only memorable thing i remember from my last visit there 10 years ago is that the waitress was hitting on me and whispered in my ear that she felt a tiny bit tipsy since she had drank a few shots prior to coming to work.

I have eaten at the Sir Winston Pub about 6-8 times over the years and their food is best described as average pub food. I got a very good hamburger there around 10 years ago. Their salads are so so. It's not the place I would go for an entree of any kind. For steak I would go to Gibby's and pay a few more bucks.

For great pub food in the downtown core, the best choice is a Gastro Pub called Dominion Square Tavern on Metcalfe, just south of St. Catherine. What a Gastro Pub is is a tavern that actually has a kitchen where they have someone trained in the culinary arts, and not some ex army cook just flipping and serving burgers to liquored up boys with dulled taste buds. Dominion Square Tavern is worth a try. They also have a very good cocktail menu.

Great restaurant. They serve an awesome bone marrow with croustini and brussels sprouts. The restaurant is dark so it is a nice place to bring a date.

I'm more of a casual restaurant guy so my favorites are Kazu or Imadake for that izakaya style, or Misoya for ramen. Ludger in St-Henri has some good food and they also do a decent brunch.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've walked by several times after getting off the bus and its outdoor terrace seems very popular during the summer months. I believe it's next to Dunn's, which i'm not a big fan of.

Went to Le Filet recently with a friend for dinner. The food was quite good. We shared plates. Everything was excellent, and service was discreet, courteous and attentive. One of the best evening in a long time. I recommend.

I wonder if anyone has tried L'Asie yet. Smack dab in the middle of Downtown and they serve Cajun Style Crawfish. Mind you the name of the place is L'Asie so I do not know how authentic their Crawfish to be. It looks good so far from what I have seen.
CA OUT!!!

Look behind you.
Gibbys would be my choice also over Queue de Cheval, been there once and way overpriced.

Well, I can tell you where you should not go: queue de cheval, Vargas, firegrill, Houston, and the likes. The Keg on René Lévesque ain't bad, plus I'm been told that some ladies hang out at the bar after work... Gibbys is good. There's also l'Entrecote st jean. Their menu is short (cresson salad, entrecôte, sauce, fries, and profiteroles for desert) but it's always good.

Oh. I forgot Moishe's. I always forget that place.

The food at Moishe's is very good but the ambiance is worse than awful, it's like eating in a dining hall or cafeteria. I think they are also Kosher in their meat preparation, if that counts for anything with the diner.
