Dunn's Famous. I know it's been mentioned before in this thread. Food is ok, not incredible. But the thing I like about Dunn's is that they're open until 5am. The last time I was in Montreal, I was held at Customs for 3 1/2 hours. By the time I got to my hotel most restaurants were closed and I was starving. I was within walking distance of Dunn's and got a bite to eat there. Smoked meat plate.

Stash Cafe. Located in the Old Montreal area on Saint-Paul St W. Eastern European or more specifically Polish dishes. I've been there many times and have never had a bad meal. One of my favorite restaurants in Montreal.
Yeah, been there twice but it was 20 years ago, glad to hear its still good.

Checked their website, still open. They have recent reviews. 200 Saint-Paul St. W. in old Montreal. 514-845-6611. Great food.
I ate there probably 10 or more years ago and spoke to the owner at the time. Polish lady as I recall, in her 40s. I recall ordering the stuffed cabbage. The food was good, very filling and not light fare. Somewhat authentic Polish cuisine. Stash Cafe was featured on the Food Network on Rachel Ray program about great meals under $40 In Montreal. See this link, I went there shortly after that TV show appeared:

Here is the Stash Menu- I ordered the Golabki which is stuffed cabbage. Another good choice is Bigos which is a stew:
If you want cheap & decent Polish food, (under $20) there's a Polish coffee shop just off Charlevoix metro, called Goplana Cafe.

They serve Polish meals, tons of different pieorgies to go and other Polish foods & merch.

II Focolaio. Great pizza. Located in Phillips Square just a few doors down from the Le Square Phillips Hotel. I like the very simple but delicious margherita pizza
Concurr. Top pizza spot, also the flashy place with all the hooker and ganstas on peel and wellington makes a good pie, if you dont mind being seen. Havent been to both in a few years.

Here is a Montreal "Everything" Bagel with cream cheese and lox which my phone says I ordered on my very last trip to Montreal, May 4, 2019, in lower Westmount. I will be damned if I can remember where I ate that bagel, but its something I always order when in Montreal. It sure looks good. On that trip I was in Montreal with NYCBadBoy, and maybe the BadBoy will remember because I took most of my meals with him:

If in westmount (definitely not beautys which is Plateau), from the wrapper, tiles, new seating, thats 100%, Bagels on Greene. You might've also remember they served indian food there, and its pretty decent (how ever only tried their gobi manchrian).

you guys should give Pizzeria Gentile a try. https://www.gentilepizzaparlour.ca/ the aroma steaming out of their box. Expensive though. Cheese sourced or blended is a bit dry on the pie (not the only place where this is the case) and might be aged longer than necessary for the type of pie they want to emulate, but tastes damn good overall. I saw the cans of tomato they source, it's legit.

@25624

Thanks for posting real food. People don’t get fat/obese eating traditional foods that have been prepared the same way for centuries. That goes for any culture.
