…from my pov, I’m experiencing a totally different scenario. I have now an athletic body. When I was in my 20s I was an ugly toothpick Ha!Ha!
I been weight training since 13 join first gym at 16 and injured my back due to ego lifting at 29, went to an incompetent chiro russel oneill in st eustache he now moved to colorado (i sent the medical report to is boss and he lost is job) he screwed me up even more, before i found my current sport doctor i went to see another one, i still was fit and 205 at 6 feet, but that idiot put me on TRT for 6 months i did not need that and i gain some serious fat and water weight 268 pounds. I never been able to shed that weight. I am big massive but I also have a 40 inch waist, when before i had a 34.

I recently join the fit father project I train 4 times per week but I cut out the junk and have a good meal plan now, cutting a bit more carb, junk, pick up, ordering out etc. And i started boxing and walking for cardio, lets see how things go. But now i look like a fat obese polar bear.

My god, I went through all this shit too myself.
I had a bad back and saw a chiro too during 2 years with no results. Of course that crook didn't reimburse. I even saw an orthopedic specialist doctor who looked at my scans and told me he couldn't do anything for me. At that time, I was discourage.
After 15 years of back pain, I finally met a competent private doctor who found my bug for 300$ which was a deal.
I'm a new man since.
I wish you get back as well as I did. You're on your way up. Take care and lâche pas la patate.

Have you considered Costa Rica? Democratic, relatively safe, good healthcare, seems to have a great expat community. More expensive, I heard but I don't have the numbers to quantify. I just know it is achievable for the common guy who worked 25 years and made some basic stock market investments.

Concerning weight loss : It is 90% in the diet. You will NEVER out train a bad diet. Training is only a good extra. Unless you are a gym freak, that's all our main struggle. I keep failing my diet ... but I am restarting as soon as I can.

chiro are idiot i went there with a low back pain, I had ligament laxity which he never found is only answer adjusting me 3 times per week for 6 months, which cause my neck to become hyper mobile my ribs were snapping, and both my hips (still not 100%)snap. I place a complain at the board of chiro but he was well protected and lied, I am glad he lost is job in Colorado at least its that old piece of shit. When i finally met my sport doctor who did prolotherapy and PRP he said my lower back ligament was none existent since it was so stretch, he did some whole blood injection in all the ligaments neck upper back mid back ribs, hips this man was a genius sad he retired.

I am back in training but I cheated too much with junk food and that TRT crap that I did not need etc, so I need to lose 50 pounds. I get pissed off each time I see a chiropractic clinic would walk in and slap all those idiots in the face, I saw another one after that incompetent he said go see my friend is adjustments are stronger, this one said you have subluxation I am the only one that can heal you, another idiot who knew nothing about ligament laxity. They are not even certified dietician and they give diet advise and training. I hate chiropractor I have so many post about them on reddit and youtube and everywhere else. They do more arm than good and are still around.

Bro I been training for 38 years each time I wanted to lose weight I ate less you are 100% right and no you cannot out train a bad dit at 45 i graduated P90X3 did it 6 days a week fn intense for 12 weeks but I did not follow a proper diet and did not lose any weight.

I am not sure how much I would have for retirement. No kids and single for the last 11y but I need to plan this carefully.

Personally, I'm looking to buy a boat, sail around the world, stop for a while in the sunny locations I really like, and visit SPs in various ports

He just sold everything and left.

If I didn't have family I would go the lazy route and book back to back cruises all around the world year round.
Once you acquire enough days with some of these cruise lines their loyalty programs can lower your costs significantly.
You have transatlantic cruises by which you can cross over and stay in Europe for a while if you get tired of the Caribbean.

I worked it out once and it was very doable and you have zero worries, no upkeep of your boat no cooking no worries.
if I didn’t have family and grandchildren here for sure that is what I would do.

If you want to retire in a foreign country these are the ones I would consider , Portugal Spain and Croatia if you are looking for great weather and being on a beach plus great looking women.
Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Check Republic if you want a better life style at affordable prices and great looking women.
It obviously helps a great deal if you retire in one of these countries if you speak the language.

I lived for a while in Russia and Czech Republic. These women are so freaking beautiful and feminine, it's like they're from another planet.
I have been to both and Poland several times and lived in Hungary so yes I know how amazing these women are.
They are much more out going and seem to engage in and enjoy sex than North American women, however French Canadians seem to be an exception and are closer to being like Europeans, that is why we have it so good in Montreal.

What is it with women from former Eastern block countries ? They are just amazingly beautiful......and I don't why...but I always seem to connect on many levels with women from these countries.

Most sweet and commendable thing.
I can go to different countries to visit BUT for retirement this is the best place to call home.
grand mother died in 2021 she was in better health than my mother is now grand mother was 98. But my mother as no strength its a big house yesterday she wanted to hire someone for the yard work 2000$ to remove some trees redo the back yard, I told her fuckit, no way, I started doing it myself. She can still cook but for the rest i do everything and yes its very sad because she is the only one left so she is my main priority.

Like i said retirement there is also levis near quebec my financial advisor suggested that been there with the ex a few times its amazing too.

Weird because 2 weeks ago I went for a tooth repair and the dental hygienist 47ask me out for drinks, 2 adult kids and said I can't wait to be a grand mother.... mmm i said sorry i don't date anymore I don't know been out of dating for 11y and all i met was trash and now that i am single and feeling great... i know if i meet someone my plans to retire somewhere else will not happen, she will probably say well i got family here etc so i rather remain single.
