I ended up not cancelling my trip. Been here for 2 weeks.

I usually come here to go climb at the climbing gym, and it was still open, so it was perfect for me. But 8 days ago, they suddenly decided to shut down all climbing gyms..... so now there is really nothing to do. Just been seeing a lot of SPs.

I've been getting a lot of comments that really annoy me. Restaurants and coffee shops that recognize me and remember I am from the US, even at MPs and incalls. They always say "what the hell are you doing in Montreal? Go home! It is so cold and nothing to do". I'm here to do SPs!

To each his own. It sounds like you’re still having a good time, and my guess is that you have plenty of options, few cancellations and agency bookings are not as competitive. The trade off might be worth it. Good for you.

I view a trip to Montreal holistically and could never justify spending too much time in my hotel room and not going out to bars, restaurants and the casino, and listening to live music at places like Hurley’s. I could replicate a Montreal-type trip with similar US escorts elsewhere but at a higher price point (for the escorts).

A few years ago I went to Montreal for a three days leading up to New Year’s Eve and a few people told me prior it would be a mistake (cold, fewer girls, less activity at bars/restaurants, etc). It ended up being one of my best Montreal trips ever.

I haven’t been to Montreal since Oct 2019 (Annabelle and Heaven), and I’d hate to say it, but the first half of 2022 ain’t looking likely.

I say the same thing. Why come here? There are many escorts in the US and much nicer ones then in Montreal. And all bars and clubs are open. Everything is closed here. Just does not make sense to me to spend all this money to travel to a city just to see escorts considering the entire city is closed especially when the US has lots of escorts.

As I mentioned in a prior post, I’m looking at replicating a Montreal-type trip in Boston (escorts, restaurants, casino, live music, a good morning run along waterfront). Just need to find the right girl/weekend using a popular national agency offering EE/Russian girls. Montreal can wait.

I couldn't disagree more. The SP's in the states are absolutely horrible. The girls in Montreal are a very rare breed of awesome and I love Quebecois girls. I'm only a few hours away so maybe it's different for me. Never went to Montreal for anything other than the SP's. The bars, restaurants, etc. were always something extra to enjoy. I can work remotely from my Montreal hotel room while meeting some of the hottest SP's in the northeast. My post is more of a compliment to all the fine young girls Montreal has to offer. Having lost that for 2+ years because of the border being closed will make you appreciate them so much more.

It depends on which state and your preferences. I like Black girls and Atlanta and Miami are full of them. Lots and lots of Indies (I checked TrystLink) I noticed even within Canada how Indies tend to avoid Montreal. They like to go to Toronto. I got absolutely zero interest in Quebecois women. Either way I do stripper take out and the US has way more stripclubs. Stripper OTC is common in Atlanta and Miami.

No it doesn't. US accepts antigen test. You can even bring your own kit to do at home. My last trip here in Dec, I used my kit it the morning of my flight and got results in 10 minutes then headed to the airport. It's incredibly easy now.

As for being stranded, if you really got unlucky and caught CoVID, my plan was to cancel my flight (refundable, free), and just rent a car and drive home. The worst case scenario is a 5-hour drive back to NY. I'm ok with that.

This. I spent 2 weeks in MTL recently too, and had a contingency plan to drive back across the border too, no biggie.

The convenience of dealing with agencies and massage parlors in MTL supersedes any independent in the States IMO. Cost is better too, and so is service and looks. I’ve mongered in South America too and to me MTL is as close as that as I’ll get, I really don’t monger much in the States anymore.

You may not realize this, but there is human life outside of the NYC / BOS corridor, so for many driving back is not a realistic option for many. I have no idea what the drop off fees are for a Canadian rental car that is dropped off in the U.S., but a quick Google search seemed to indicate they are quite high. Many people have commitments that would be quite disastrous if a 2-3 day trip turned into 10.

Glad it works for you, but it simply doesn’t work for a lot of us. And I sometimes tend to be high on my numbers. Chicago still has a couple of good groups that stick to the $350-$400 an hour range. I have personal preferences that tend to make the prices higher for the ladies I like to see. I think sticking to the U.S. is a pretty rational choice for a lot of us. We all have different data points and tolerances regarding worst-case scenarios.

Your probably right when it comes down to dollars and cents. But, to me, banging an SP in NYC or thereabouts you get the feeling that they are doing you a favor by seeing them. In Montreal, the SPs, at least most of them, make me feel like I'm doing them a favor. Montreal SPs seem much more happy to see you and are much more accomidating than the miserable SP's I've seen in the US. It's more business like in the states, in Montreal it's more of a fun adventure IMHO.

As far as renting a car to drive back home, I priced it out at about $300-$400 to NYC, much cheaper than spending all the quarantine time in a hotel room.

I had a car rental booked from MTL to NYC (just in case) Refundable. I had it booked for a 24 hour window and it was $125 thru Budget.

Kayak. Maybe your putting in the same drop off point. When you plug in Montreal as a pick up and NYC as a drop off the prices goes way up.

Not really, you still have to get home from there. If you have the Covid you wouldn't put yourself on a plane to infect others and the car would cost almost the same price as if you just drove it to NYC in the first place. Before Covid, especially in the winter, flights were always getting cancelled in Montreal. On more than one occasion I had to drive a rental home because my flight was cancelled. Back in those days (3 years ago) it was less than $100 to grab a rental home. Those days are long done.

Restaurants are open but capacity goes up Feb 12th

Bars won't be until the 28th with capacity limits

If Karaoke is your thing, wait until March 14th

Restaurants will be open but not bars till Feb 28. If you can, better to postpone your trip till March 14 when most of the covid mandates will be removed. One issue it there will still be the vaccine passport and masks. I dunno how they will be able to scan a US vaccine proof or if you guys are even given a QR code. If I lived in America I would just go to South America to hobby. Not sure why anyone would want to come to Montreal since we got draconian covid mandates.

I'm fully vaccinated and have my Vax card along with my NY Vaccine passport app and that worked for me over the summer. So as long as things are similar to the way they were back in September I should be ok.

If I catch Covid I can still drive back home instead of being trapped in a foreign country until I get a negative test. I'm familiar with the lay of the land and can order take out to my hotel room while I'm on a lunch break from my virtual office. Or I could step out for an hour to do an incall. Last reason and the most important reason is you have some seriously hot Quebecois girls up there and there are zero girls that come even close here in the states. If the establishment has a kitchen then it can open. The rest must remain closed till February 28. If you want it to be like it was back in September then it will not be like that till March 14. About girls that is subjective. The US like Atlanta and Miami got so many beautiful Black girls. Montreal has very few, I cannot rely on Merb for that. Many Black Indys avoid Montreal. There is one I want to see Ebony Juelz but she tours everywhere else except Quebec. If I l ived in Toronto I would be in business. Lots of Black escorts there. I personally will not travel to Toronto just to see escorts. However I would definitely check out South America/Central America as they got many extras stripclubs and sex clubs with lots of Black/Latina girls (my type) and all girls are available to see you at your hotel. My understanding of the law is if your from the states you can drive around without snow tires. It’s a law for people who live there year round.

Correct. It only applies to vehicles registered in Quebec and it expires March 15th

Winter Tires: Mandatory from December 1 to March 15 inclusive. From December 1 to March 15 inclusive, all motorized road vehicles registered in Québec (other than heavy vehicles, tool vehicles and farm machinery) must be equipped with winter tires.
