My understanding of the law is if your from the states you can drive around without snow tires. It’s a law for people who live there year round.
Correct. It only applies to vehicles registered in Quebec and it expires March 15th

Winter Tires: Mandatory from December 1 to March 15 inclusive. From December 1 to March 15 inclusive, all motorized road vehicles registered in Québec (other than heavy vehicles, tool vehicles and farm machinery) must be equipped with winter tires.

Good news posted in another thread about freeing up Quebec. So the big question for me is, should I wait until the middle of March to do some banging up there or will I even notice the difference if I go in another week? Already fully vaxed, have my NYS passport and vaccination card, etc. No interest in going out that much except to maybe some restaurants.

Good news. Quebec will let bars return to 100% capacity and the sale of alcohol to 3am two days in advance including the removal of the vaccine passport so instead of March 14 it will be effective March 12. Removal of masks is in the works the target is for mid-April. Mandatory masks should be removed immediately in my book.

2 days is better than nothing but man ... can't wait to go see BATMAN lol

Mask mandate lifting is also something im looking forward to, mostly when it comes to small stores as i feel its totally useless. Now the question is this... what will i do for the rest? I am looking for a trip to MTL in the near future, and if i understand all of this correctly i would be allowed everywhere back and mask would not be forced in bars etc. BUT i still have that small fear of catching Covid wich surprisingly i been able to dodge pretty well so far. And no its not because i had to wear a mask at the store or at the cinema when i was allowed.

Bars are a different story. They are smaller, jam packed usually especially in Montreal, bad ventilation. Also altough i did took the subway a few times during previous visits, that was before there was 50 000 cases or whatsoever of Omicron.

Im almost mad at myself at times, i know i shouldn't have to be fearfull, but the propaganda machine of the gov and media did such a good job that EVEN ME at times i get worried, even tough its not that rational...

I am very excited for this summer. Seems like things are picking up.

This trip is my best one since 2018. I have been here 1 week and I have seen 10 SPs so far, and 8 of them have been very good sessions. Also seeing a lot of new girls on the rosters.

If it's looking this good with the crap weather, I can't imagine how good the hobbying scene will look when it gets warm and things fully reopen.

I was in Montreal recently and I thought it kind of sucked. Not easy for me to say that considering I set the bar really low. The Nexus lane wasn't open so I had to wait along with the commoners. Got through pretty easily, the car in front of me was given a "random" Covid test and I barely got asked 3 questions. Had an amazing room with an incredible view, was able to pick up a pair of Jordan's at the local Footlocker that were sold out online. Had a few decent meals and was a little upset that McLean's Pub changed their menu and now has an Indian flare to it which was gross, especially the poutine. It's good that they are trying to do something different, but they need to take another look at that menu. Forget that everything closed at 10pm, I expected that. The talent was absolutely the worst I've seen in years. Nobody new at the agencies and the ones that were working gave average service that I would expect in NYC. Had a good time checking out a new MP or two, but overall it was a bust. Visited LePenthouse had a couple of hours to kill so I went over to Rib and Reef and at least that was still very high quality food. Anyway, time for the agencies to start doing some serious recruiting. Especially if the summer is going to open up like many of us are hoping. I was warned to not bother coming to Montreal, but I didn't expect the talent to suck as much as it did.

Great post, and sorry your trip was a bust.

I’m not the least bit surprised. The current bar restrictions and quick glance at the top agency schedules don’t exactly inspire me to plan a trip up there anytime soon.

It seems as if a lot of the current Montreal agency girls have been on the escort scene for awhile. In the past, most girls would pass through the agency circuit to pay their expenses and then be gone. Fresh, cute talent seems to be in short supply compared to a few years ago

Your report on McLeans and the menu change is highly disappointing. If it’s not broke don’t fix it.

I will say this: when I had a short trip to Montreal that was a bust (I had two like that, including one where I was ripped off by a now defunct agency), it was often followed by a fantastic trip the next time. You might be due.

yeah i was about to say, just like individual encounters can sometimes be a bust, so can whole trips be, i would imagine, especially when compared to previous trips...

But, like individual encounters, usually a bad streak is eventually broken, so it should also be for whole trips... And then we wonder why we ever had any doubts :-0

Talent comes in waves, I expect you hit a low point...i certainly hope! :D

You can’t appreciate the summer without a desolate winter, and it’s the bad trips that make us appreciate the good ones much more.

Funny, in April 2018 I had a terrible trip. One popular agency canceled on me with perhaps their top girl, and I had a lackluster appointment with another. To add insult to injury, a now defunct late night agency sent an NFL linebacker to my room (a new girl, no photos available I was told, but strong assurances she was hot. It was 2am after Hurley’s. Should have known better, but I doubled down and lost).

When I arrived at YUL for my return trip to Newark Airport, I swore I was finished with Montreal. But…but…the next trip included so many hot girls, including Annabelle from Euphoria. Some trips are busts, some are winners. It’s true of Montreal as it is of Vegas.

That said, I still think Montreal is not the place to be right now, but it soon will be. So many better options currently. Insightful post by greatwalooo. It informed me what I’m not missing.

My winter trips to Montreal are usually really good. Many of the girls needing some cash to get through the winter. What I didn’t account for is that there are so many of the same girls not only from this past summer, but the summer before last. I blame my lousy trip on Covid. I would have thought that so many people aren’t working that the SP market would be flooded with talent, but I was clearly wrong.

I was there recently and had a great time. I guess YMMV. I had many great sessions. In fact, I had a better time than my prior trips last year. I do have to admit some of my favorites were not available while on vacation, but as I build rapport with some gems things seem to be getting better and better. Can’t wait to be back.

What's up Sky? Something recent?
Not recent but one time a few years ago I got held up in customs interrogation for several hours and got blasted with a ton of questions lol. I honestly thought I wouldn't get out of it lol

The experience was not fun at all, to put it mildly.
