Report it to management
I agree with the others that you should report it. Normal people don't behave like this!
I would love to hear of any future repercussion or contact whatsoever. Wondering what happened to him. Anything less than being fired is unacceptable but he clearly crossed the line!Thank you! I ended up reporting and blocking him. Hope it helps somehow.
Update: I received a call from the manager saying that they had a reunion with the guy in question and they able to properly understand the situation. They said they will think of a disciplinary action during the week and put more accent on the importance of privacy during their team meetings.I would love to hear of any future repercussion or contact whatsoever. Properly understand the situation? Hmmm but okay not much else you can do. Hopefully will not harass you further.Update: I received a call from the manager saying that they had a reunion with the guy in question and they able to properly understand the situation. I guess it’s enough!

Can't sanction an employee before hearing his side of the story. Goes with my previous post.Kind of crazy that they needed his input in order to "properly understand the situation". Like?? Did I stutter??
I hope they're going to take action and are not just saying that.
If it’s serious enough then they can go straight to terminationDude is probably a unionized worker. Kinda hard to throw one out on a first offense, unless he did something even worse.
Yes but probably not in this instance. If it’s serious enough then they can go straight to termination

Yeah the manager was kind of in shock and wasn’t able to really understand me.I know! I just feel like the wording was weird. "We were able to properly understand the situation" as opposed to "we had time to assess the situation" or something similar. The former implies the situation wasn't understandable when she told it, whereas the latter implies they simply needed to assess the situation but they did hear her.
It’s The same way I feel about some stuff discussed on here. But we need people not only talking about how many SP they saw this week and counting how much money they are probably doing etc… so..I don't understand an entire thread over a text message saying "I can't sleep." I have been a chronic insomniac my whole life and never texted anyone to say I couldn't sleep. Maybe because I am used to it. Maybe there would be empathy if everyone had some sleepless nights to see what it is like. I still don't understand why we have a 4 page thread over such a text.

Nah the guy is saying he doesn't have a place to sleep. Important nuance.I don't understand an entire thread over a text message saying "I can't sleep."
