Mostly business as usual, you won't notice anything other that a bunch of Quebec flags flying around and out up on balconies.

Well, not exactly.....june 24th is a public holiday, so expect to see shopping malls and lots of business closed that day. For escorts, i guess that yes it's business as usual.

Considering that there were many years where violence has broken out on St. Jean Baptiste day. This first SJB day after the end of the Marois government is a barometer of how interested people are in having an separation from Canada. If there are still groups that are willing to use violence to demonstrate that they still exist, than SJB day will be the time they show themselves.

Seriously.....the only real St-Jean riots i can remind of happened in the mid-nineties in old Quebec city. And they were mostly punks and young drunk folks vs Police. Nothing to do with sovereignty or anything close to that. Just crazy young folks breaking a few windows. Big deal.

Each and every year, dozens of thousands of people are moving to Parc Maisonneuve and Plaines d'Abraham to assist outdoor shows and celebrate. It's just an excuse to have a good time. People are going there with friends, family and kids. If you think those people have riot in mind, think again. And only a minority attending those events are for sovereignty, just to say.

Look behind you.
Good time celebration in small town Quebec, 1 park is used for the bands playing and beer drinking. I do not think that even a garbage can is knocked over.
