Hello all,
Just a question about this since I can't seem to find an answer to this. I recently contacted an agency I have used before, inquiring about an SP. I was told to not use a Texting App. Now, I have been using them for a couple of years and this is the first time I was told not to use one. Secondly, I found it odd that they knew that I was using one. Lastly, I was then told they have no record of my previous texts, and even so, I need a real wireless number to book. Is this new? Thoughts? Responses. I am not naming the Agency but this seems a bit odd. Thanks.

I agree with Maria! It's for security only! Agencies and escorts won't use your personal informations for nothing more than security. Imagine if a client try to kill or rape a girl, the Agency cannot do anything if they don't have some real informations.

Really, I think that with a well known agency you don't risk anything by using your real phone number. They don't have any interest in using it for something else!

My issue was that they stated that the have no record of our interactions. I sent them a last text detailing who I am and the previous number I used but I am guessing that they already blocked me. I don't like that records are being kept. Anyhow. Thanks for your input.

Of course most agencies are going to keep a record of at least the number of the client so they can recognize who the good ones are from the bad. It's to be expected

I think text app prohibition is more about avoiding prank/fake calls.

If you use a real number and you prank call, they can block it and its much more complicated to get a new one. On the other hand a text number can be reset almost at will...

Cause i may be mistaken but when it comes to what they call "burner phone" pretty much you can have numbers that are not even registered to your real name or whatever.

I see this as a double standard here as most of the independant escorts are using text apps including many Indys advertising on Merb. The client also has the right to protect his privacy! Agencies on the other hand use actual wireless numbers most of the times. BTW to check if it is a text app that is very easy to do... There are sites on the web that can tell you which service provider the number belongs to with the area code and the next three digits after the area code called a NXX. When you do the search any number belonging to Iristel or Distributel are text app numbers.

You have reviews to know approximately what to expect from girls. we know nothing about you. 99% of time wasters use text apps, but also, if you're a dangerous client we need to be able to put a real number on it. That's important. It's not about privacy it's about not wasting our time and not being raped, beaten, murdered.

Plus you're not even obligated to use your real name when creating a real number with some companies. Also, your privacy is not ruined just because you use your real number. It's not like you're posting ads as a pooner lol. On the other hand an escort can't use her real phone number to work that's just dumb, I'm definitely not going to post my real number on backpage. There's a huge difference you can't compare

With using your own phone make sure your phone number is not connected to facebook. Bored one day and put a few ann123 numbers into facebook search, there were quite a few that showed the person, family pictures and far too much info for anyone to know.

Lots of girls do, including myself. There's a website who does it for free, it either tells us your name if someone already identified you, or it at least tells is if your number is real or not.
