Good afternoon Dead Sox fans, tight series so far, what do you think of that great aquisition Gagme, I think that yesterday's decision to put him in the game with the game on the line should automatically disqualify Francoma for manager of the year honours.

Great to meet you the other night at the Mini-GT and give my favorite Yankers fan a great big SYMPATHY HUG! Now back to the war...lol.

I don't like Gagne either. But your logic follows that Torre should be fired for putting in Mr. October A-Choke in the lineup when he couldn't hit a 400 pound pumpkin mounted stationary in the center of home plate at the center of the strike zone during the playoffs....whiff...whiff...whiff...pop up...lol.. Unfortunately, the billionare boys still get paid for batting 0-18. Does that automatically disqualify A-Choke from the MVP tittle...tragicly NO. To remind you of your our own priciple on this kind of award issue, it matters what they did during the regular season. Just a friendly point about consistency.

Remember, you said Sox in 6...your prediction.

Yep, he missed a ball 4 call on Coco, too, who then struck out in front of Lugo's hit. The guy's been inconsistent all night, which, of course, goes both ways. It does seem, however, that his bad calls have hit the Sox at more critical times.

Indians are a fine club. No doubt in my mind that the two best teams in the AL are going at it right now. You'd think, wouldn't you, that a team with $210,000,000 worth of talent would be playing baseball now rather than golf.

Is it just me, or has Dice-K been absolutely awful since July? Considering what the Red Sox spent on this guy, i surely hope for them that he bounces back come next spring. I'd be weary of handing him the ball again during these playoffs.

I tip my hat off to the Cleveland Indians.....they have a solid team & could very well win the World Series.

Yup. Just awful. I don't know why Francona doesn't flip-flop Wakefield and Beckett. That would make Beckett available for a possible game 7 on four days rest. While starting Beckett on three days today isn't ideal, I'd rather have him on three days than Dice-K at all. And Beckett has started on three days rest in the post-season before, shutting out the Yankees to win the 2003 WS.

BTW, I'm having a hard time being upset with the Sox losing the last two days. Cleveland is a very likeable team and their fans have waited far too long to hoist a flag. And they're not the Yankees.

Been a Red Sox fan since 1975. Been hating the Yankees since 1955. It's in the blood.

I was a Brooklyn fan as a kid. Found it quite easy to hate Yogi and the Mick. Joe D was before my time.

Grandeur, my ass. But seeing as you like the City of Gray, I guess it makes sense. I grew up in NYC. If I never see it again, it will be too soon. Certainly not the greatest city in the world. Certainly not the greatest in the US. Possibly the best on the East coast, but, frankly, I'd rather Baltimore.

Hating the Yankees is as logical as you liking them. Can you explain why you are anything but someone who jumps on the bandwagon of long bygone history? You obviously wanted to take the easy road where you would not have your faith and loyalty tested...or so you thought. At least I am a fan of a team I have been faithful to since 1966. Following a team that has taken advantage of the lack of a salary cap, and lead in spending inflation to out bid everyone for the best players and attempt to buy the World Series since Steinmoney bought the Yankers, just has the stink of cheating.

Mantle: what an example for a guy to deliberately drink himself into an early grave.

Dimaggio: many top baseball players served their country in battle during WW II. Dimaggio was a physical education instructor during his 31-month stint in California, Hawaii, Atlantic City....big deal; not the combat pilot like Ted Williams who was a flight instructor in WW II and flew 38 combat missions in Korea.

The Red Sox are now 1-1 in the ALCS. The Yankees are 0-0. Jeter, however, did get a birdie yesterday in the third round of the Choker's Classic. He now trails April-Rod by two strokes.

You are misinformed. Posada was playing Jeter. A-Slob doesn't play golf in October. He can't hit anything in October...lol.
