The Habs will stay put for the time being while Mike Cammalleri recovers from his MCL injury. He could be gone up to 6 weeks, if there aren't any complications. Jacques Martin has indicated that they'll tighten up their game & play even more defensively than in the past, hoping to capitalize on the few scoring chances that will present themselves. The team has once again called up Matt D'Agostini to take over Cammalleri's spot in the lineup. However, when D'Agostini should up at practice yesterday morning, he was unable to practice since he's got a bad cold. Typical brilliant Gainey move!

Jaroslav Halak will once again be asked to pull out a miracle tonight against the Canucks as he gets the start. If he fails, Carey Price is likely to start the next game. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz..............

Just watch that moron of a GM Gainey keep both Price and Halak until after the trade deadline and end up letting one walk for free like he is used to doing with his free agents to be. LOL..Clueless Bob! all the Scab fan forum boards are yelling for his firing on a daily basis, even when the Scabs pull out a rare win,.,.... funny to see the mess he has made in Montreal, from a team who was supposed to do great things within 5 years of Gainey being hired! gotta love it!

Even more moronic with be that DUMMY holding on to Plekanec (who's badly slumping these past 12 games or so) and then letting him go free for nothing after the season's over. It wouldn't surprise me!!

Struggling Bruins end 10-game losing streak by shutting out the overachieving Habs

MONTREAL -- While Jaroslav Halak's magic disappeared, Tuukka Rask was pretty much all that stood between Boston and a blown lead.

Not to mention a record the Bruins would have wanted no part of. THEY HADN'T WON A GAME SINCE THE WINTER CLASSIC ON JANUARY 1ST !!!!

The goalie stopped 36 shots, including 15 in a frantic second period after Boston took an early lead, and the Bruins snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 3-0 win over Montreal on Sunday night.

A New No. 1?

There's been a succession of power among the Bruins' personnel this week as backup goalie Tuukka Rask, who has started three straight, blanked the Habs on Sunday, writes Matt Kalman. Story

"Our goaltender was unbelievable," coach Claude Julien said. "Whenever they had the great chances, he made the big saves."

Marco Sturm scored twice to help Boston win for the first time since a 2-1 shootout victory over San Jose on Jan. 14 and avoided tying the longest losing streak in franchise history set by the Bruins in their first season, 1924-25.

The Bruins scored a pair of goals 2:24 apart late in the first, including Adam McQuaid's first NHL goal and Sturm's first of two with 3.2 seconds remaining.

"It wasn't that big since they didn't score, I could say, but obviously it was a huge goal for us because we got the 2-0 lead," Rask said "And you think it gives you a confidence boost for the second period but I think we kind of slept through the first 10, 15 minutes of the second, but it's always easier to have a two-goal than a one-goal lead."

Sure beats giving up 2 first rounders for a smallish cancer that nobody wants to play with. And remind me again, where are the Leafs and Habs in the standings. Yeah........that's what I thought. Come back when you have something smart to say about your shitty hopeless pathetic excuse for a hockey team.
