As some of my fellow Leafs fans know, i was at the game last night, sitting next to a beauty & feeling like the happiest guy in the world as Canada's team was dominating the rival & unlikeable Scabs. However, right to the left of me, i saw something that saddened me.

Carey Price, sitting close by, was looking straight ahead in a daze & looked like the saddest person on the planet. For a moment, i thought he'd start to cry. Of course, the final outcome still wasn't known. After all, the Habs were only trailing the Leafs by one goal at that point. I wondered what made Carey so sad. But then i realized that the poor stiff hadn't been in a game for the past 3-4 games. Maybe he finally had realized that he was no longer the starting goaltender on this overachieving team. Maybe he realized that his services would no longer be wanted next season & would have to shop them elsewhere. To the Leafs maybe? Of course not. The Leafs are now set in nets with Jiggy & the Monster. Where? Who knows.

Poor Carey!! I really feel for the poor soul. Have some pithy, people. This is a poor soul going to waste unless someone rescues him. Poor Carey.

Oh well, great win for the Leafs!!! Plus, they made me win my bet with my hockey date & that's why i wasn't able to post until this morning. She was great!!!! :D

seems since you posted this, #81 has been on a scoring binge... ty for this post my good Scabs fan! a big thumbs up to you!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKiScK2jMTA

And a big thumbs up to you also my closeted habs fan. One little correction though: you might never have noticed this but I've actually stated that I'm a Wings fan. By the way, lucky for the leafs that they had two OTHER shooters in the shootout since as usual Kessel shot a blamk with the pressure on - Wilson should have known that Phil can't cut the mustard when a game is on the line.

He'll never lead the league in goals but he'll probably often lead the league in MEANINGLESS goals - he's sort of like a poor man's Michael Ryder (and that's pretty freakin' poor!). You know Ryder don't you? He plays for the Bruins - the team that should be arrested for stealing after picking Toronto clean in that one-sided trade for No Cojones Phil.

must be you didnt see the game before eh?

Lets see 28 goals, almost a ppg player, missed all training camp, coming off major shoulder injury, no big time center to feed him passes, id say he is well on his way to being that offensive juggernaut that Burke envisioned for years to come. and yea, no pressure in Hockeys Top Market, ROFL! oh and the icing on the cake, the guy is 22 years old, you just showed your true knowledge of the game. keep up the good work .. :)

Don't be too hard on Cairo, Iggy. After all, his judgement is still clouded by the fact his hero Johnny Weir recently pulled out of the World Championships. Disappointed is the understatement of the day when referring to our friend Ms. Cairo.

... and where was Kessel over a 21 game stretch between December 18 and January 29 when he only had a grand total of 2 goals and the games actually counted for something?

thats like saying where has gomez been when it counted right? how many assists did Kessel have during that stretch btw? Kessel was also getting tons of scoring chances, doesnt mean the pucks gonna go in all the time, but you keep playing hard and eventually he will get results, like he has been the last several games, very good player and only gonna get better, unlike Gomez and his 8 MIL PER YR ROFL!!!!!!, Kessel also didnt have a decent center like he has now with Bozak , give them even more time together and look out. time will tell but again, both are still very young and only gonna improve.

Back to your old tricks eh Doc? This Johnny character can't really be my hero since I have no idea who he is and as Pat Burns once said "I wouldn't recognize him if he walked in front of my car."

No hard feelings though: have a good time watching your Battle of the Blades tapes with your very close friend. I hear it's the number one favorite of leaf fans especially those who enjoy the "beauty" of their fellow leaf fans.

The only relevant part of this array of excuses is "no big time center". With the crapola leafs that is certainly an accurate statement, for which I commend you. The rest is just the usual BS, smoke and mirrors to try to make it seem that this one dimensional Bruins castoff is anything other than a smalltime team cancer who can't hack the pressure and has scored maybe two important goals in his entire career. Only in Toronto, where fans are desperate for ANY sign of life from their moribund losers, would a zero like this get ANY respect.

Seems your also back to your "old tricks" ...... lemme ask you this, if and when GSG jumps off the Champlain Bridge when the Habs get booted out of the playoffs this year, do you jump to?

Of course not, since I'm not a habs fan. And when the Wings are eliminated I'll be disappointed but life will go on.

The only hockey-related episode that might make me do something rash would be if the leafs ever won the Cup...because then I would KNOW that the world was coming to an end! Thankfully, I have nothing to worry about, since the leafs will NEVER win the Cup - their DREAM is simply to ONE DAY be "good" enough to climb all the way up to 28th place!

The only thing done with smoke and mirrors is your trying to hide your love of the scabs, everything and i mean EVERYTHING i posted about Kessel is 100% truth and thats why it is so hard for Scabs fans to admit to it....... he is a Very Good Player and only getting better, and Boston dearly misses his production, they would be in the Top 3 or 4 in the East had they had his services this year. Scabs fans should thank Boston for trading him, otherwise your "little" team would most likely miss the playoffs.
Great Great Trade by Brian Burke, the man has vision unlike you and other scabs fans... enjoy the next 3-4 years boys! :)

not won a cup, and? i can admit that, and i dont live in the PAST like every Scabs fan does....... btw, have the scabs won anything in the last 15 years? and since the Salary Cap Era? speaking of the salary cap, are they looking good considering they must sign Plekanecs and a Goalie for next year and have no money to do both? both which are KEY players to your success this season? thus why i say get used to the next 3-4 years boys!

... and what have the last 43 years been for Leaf fans?

If the best you can do is keep repeating your little piece of fiction that I'm a habs fan, then it proves that you have zero credibilty, as all intelligent people already know. Of course the other thing you like to do is use terms like "would" and "will" since that way you never have to face the facts or admit the truth. Must really suck being a deluded leafs fan!

Ho hum, more of the same old tired BS. You're right about one thing though: you don't live in the past - you live in the hoped-for future. Sadly for you and your inept team though, the future you are hoping for will never come. At the start of this season you were bragging about how great your leafs were - well, they're "great" enough to be the second worst team in the league, so now that they're missing the playoffs as usual, all you can do is brag about how next year will be great. At least you're not challenging people to bets anymore - maybe you actually learned a lesson when G1G called you on it and you ran like a scalded chicken. We didn't hear any more bawk bawk bawk from you after that. Congratulations, however, because if you hadn't chickened out you'd have lost everything (house, car, Battle of the Blades tapes included).
