slamming the habs is a year round sport

I guess it would be - especially for fans of a team that finished in 29th place (one spot removed from the NHL shit house), hasn't made the playoffs in five straight years (soon to be six) and hasn't won their conference in 43 straight seasons ! :D

Come on folks. This thread should be strictly about the Habs & not about other teams. Let's stay on topic or else the thread might just go away.

That would certainly not be a surprise, since you're the cowardly king of deletions. When things don't go your way, you take your toys and go home - you've proved it many times on this board alone.

For a team that most 'experts' picked to miss the playoffs, I think that making history by being the first 8th place team to come back from 1-3 to topple the first seed - actually the number one team in all of hockey - is a damn good achievement and something to be proud of. When was the last time the Leafs achieved anything at all other than giving away their first round draft pick to the Bruins?

The Leafs are an embarrassment to the great Canadian game of hockey! Considering their obvious athletic prowess, they shouldn't even be allowed on a golf course as anything other than caddies.

Well said Techman. And, to answer your question: 1967!

better this season, yes, by far? nope, not even the team the Leafs started the season with, and since jan 31, and in all reality i would say the leafs are a better team overall. the Leafs had one of the better records the last 20 games of the season than alot of clubs, and that should/will carry over to next season, plus i highly doubt Burke is done rebuilding this offseason, stay tuned amigo!

For a free game at the bell centre? And i assume you wont buy the cheap saputo zone seats like GSG and Mrs. C sit together in, sure i will go, and i will wear a habs jersey as well. here is a picture of what it will look like, i will have to go buy a sharpie marker before the game tho :)

(but dont worry, you wont have to buy tics, they wont make it to the end this season, although that did give me a nice big laugh)

I have to give you credit lg: you'll go to your grave denying the truth. Such a stubborn lack of insight and intelligence is worthy of some reward (and I bet your butty gives you your reward every time you "hang out").

too funny, illiterate tool

the Leafs had one of the better records the last 20 games of the season than alot of clubs, )

Yeah, when the games meant nothing. Ironically, the Leafs also had a good record over the last part of the 2008/2009 season, long after being eliminated from post season contention – and how did that carry over into the 2009/2010 season? Answer = 29th place

plus i highly doubt Burke is done rebuilding this offseason, stay tuned amigo!

Again, Leaf fans were saying the same thing about Burke after the 2008/2009 season - end result in the 2009/2010 season after Burke was done "rebuilding" = 29th place, one spot removed from the NHL shit house

try again fool

once again you show you are best a being a bandwagon scabs fan and nothing more, the games meant nothing huh? that couldnt be further from the truth, the last 20 games of the season is when some of the best hockey is played before the playoffs start. teams are doing everything possible to get every point possible and playing all out to do so, you just hit a all time low with that uneducated statement, unreal, lol

Rebuilding wise, of course Burke is not done, just wait and see this offseason, the man has done more in a lil over a year than previous gm's did in the last 5 years alone, takes time to make up for horrible mistakes by jfj and cliff fletcher, id say what Burkie has done will soon start to payoff, like it did after they got Phaneuf and brought the Kids up, and if you think not then your blind as well as uneducated like your best mirror loving partner.. :) like i have said, enjoy your "little" team for every second these playoffs, it may just be your last for awhile, time will tell. but enjoy! cherish every second

Again, Leaf fans were saying the same thing about Burke after the 2008/2009 season - end result in the 2009/2010 season after Burke was done "rebuilding" = 29th place, one spot removed from the NHL shit house

The games meant nothing to the leafs since all they could hope to do was hang on to their beloved 29th place. Maybe if you spent more time on 1) your education, 2) watching hockey. 3) listening to intelligent hockey analysts rather than know-nothings like Holliday...and less time on the Holliday couch "hanging out" with your hero and his Battle of the Blades collection, you might start to know at least a little about the sport.

You forgot Christophe Letang, who may be his team's best defenseman. Why is it that the Habs, which supposedly is Quebec's team, only has marginal french-speaking players on board? Lapierre, Pouliot (who's not even from Quebec), Darche (who never plays) & Bergeron (whom no one in the league wanted). Meanwhile, Pittsburgh's french-speaking players are all quality, productive players who've won the Cup. Why? It's an embarrassment!!! The Montreal Canadiens are in fact Team Europe/USA !!!!

(Are the Habs the team with the least Canadians on the team in the entire NHL?)

do you really think scabs fans will resist Doc? ROFL! my money is on Mrs. C to post first so you will delete this thread, we all know he is Obsessed with Les Scabitants and gets upset whenever anything bad is said about them, as 1300 of his 1600+ posts are defending his habs. Also habs fans would not have to read "Habs Suck" everytime they log into the sports section, so expect a non habs post anytime now. i cant believe you of all people would give a scabs fan what they want....geesh! Think of LEAFS NATION!!!!!

If i see another post that isn't about the Habs, i'll delete this whole thread. Final warning!
