the Canadiens defeated a great Club in the Caps but now they have to do it againts a Championship One !

Actually, any team that the scabs would have defeated in these playoffs were superior teams. The scabs did squeak into the playoffs in their last game by losing in overtime against the Leafs, after all.

Ah, but you can't beat a very good goalie when he's at the top of his game!

i was actually at that game, and ppl were cheering , even on the team 990 am the next day ,Tony M was saying as a habs fan how pathetic it was to cheer a loss! lol. only a habs fan could justify this, but then again, look who were talking about here, "habs fans"

And only a leafs fan would be stupid enough to continue blabbing when his pathetic squad ended up second from the bottom in a 30 team league.

Sort of the way any team (except maybe the injury-plagued Oilers) that the maple losers play is superior to TO - of course that's only in the regular season, since the leafs are consistently unable to make the playoffs. In their defense though, the leafs haven't had a good goalie for many, many years. They COULD have had a good one in Rask, but they stupidly gave Rask to the Bruins (since they also haven't had good management since...uh...since...FOREVER).

Hey Darling !!

I agree ! And expect more of the same next year . They will end up NOT
making the Playoffs !
However the most important franchise in the League must find a way to get in there.
There is not a franchise in the NHL that generates more Dollars that the Leafs organization .

But since this thread is about us HABS FANS and our "" nasty habits "" well ... let's be NASTY ...
... or nastier perhaps ...

:p

I loved it !!! I also loved the hit Matt Cooke did on Markov....a totally legal hit by all accounts (even RDS), by the way....which possibly has knocked out the big russian from the playoffs.

I agree completely, no doubt it was a good, clean, legal hit but to me it looked like Markov was playing for a FIFA soccer team the way he went down, it was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time! I thought he was shot or something.

The 3rd replay is the best.

I actually thought when the play happened in real time that Markov was flopping in order to draw a boarding penalty, because the reaction seemed disproportionate to the hit received. But as I understand Markov landed awkwardly and that is how he got hurt.

The lost of Markov

True and Markov is here in Montreal as we speak. The Canadiens Organization confirmed that
he will be absent for game 2 and from what I heard he's not coming back unless
Nos Canadiens make it to game 7 .

When the Caps lost Potti for game 7 , then I really beleived that we had a chance.
It meant more ice time for Green, and it played to our favor !
The lost of Markov will have a greater impact on the Canadiens then that of Potti for the Caps .

Now will see what this Team is made of !!

GO HABS GO !!!

I've seen the replay 10 times & still can't figure out how he got hurt. He must be one of the most fragile hockey players in the NHL!!!! How many games has he missed this year anyways? Is he made out of glass?

Good morning Darling !!! That just put a smile to my face !!!

But really . Since the early 90's with Pat behind the bench , Felix The Cat in the crease
and Gilmour leading the charge the Leafs have done nothing !!!
The Bruins ... not much either... Yes they took us out last year but in the next round
got bitch slap by Phillie !

We have reasons to Smile ! We took the Presidents Trophy winner out !

"" WE LOVE IT ""

For a team that most 'experts' picked to miss the playoffs, I think that making history by being the first 8th place team to come back from 1-3 to topple the first seed - actually the number one team in all of hockey - is a damn good achievement and something to be proud of. When was the last time the Leafs achieved anything at all other than giving away their first round draft pick to the Bruins?

The Leafs are an embarrassment to the great Canadian game of hockey! Considering their obvious athletic prowess, they shouldn't even be allowed on a golf course as anything other than caddies.
